Last of the Snowflake Mani's....Maybe?

I'm hoping this is the last of the snowflake nails that I'll be sharing this season but with the snow we had on Friday and with another expected snowfall tomorrow, I thought I could squeeze in another mani!  Snowflakes is one of my go to looks during the winter months and I had a lot of them in archives to share including this one!

Started with a base of Zoya Tyler, no top coat.

Topped with a coat of Different Dimension Mystery Prototype 175, no top coat.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using an image from Beauty Big Bang XL-094 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Applied a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top, a coat of Girly Bits Glitter Glaze, then another coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

This is another mani that I did as my injured thumb nail was growing out, which is why it is short.  But it didn't stop me from doing my nails and they still look pretty darn good with a shorty if I don't say so myself!'

Thanks for looking and fingers crossed, this is the last of the snowflake nails!

Sorry for so many pictures but I couldn't decide!

Bubbles!

If you read my last post, you'll recall that I hadn't been sharing recent mani's much.  This is one that I did while my thumb was almost grown out; you'll notice it is much shorter than the rest of the nails, which is why.  I lost the entire nail May 2022 from a nail injury and it pretty much took until December 2022 to grow out to the length that I normally keep them.  This was taken on November 6, 2022; they were short but not so much that I was wearing a fake nail.  Sadly, it wasn't too much after this that my index finger got infected and a big chunk of it separated from the nailbed, resulting in my cutting it down in December and it is still growing out.  I don't think it will take 7 months to grow out like the thumb nail as I lost the entire thumb nail and for the index, it was only about a quarter down or so so it's almost there.  Sometimes, you just can't win.  Thankfully, it was nothing more serious than nails and the only negative was I couldn't share my nails.  I was still painting them and let's be honest, there are a whole lot worse things in life than being able to paint nails.  If anything, I stopped buying polish as much as I normally did so there was a little saving because of that.

Started with a base of Different Dimension Never Forget Where You Come From, two coats, no top coat.

Topped with DRK Seal Glaze as purple is notorious for bleeding into the stamping polish, causing it to turn purple so I thought I had better be safe and add it.

Hit the Bottle To Boldly Go-01

Thankfully, the purple didn't bleed into the stamping polish, although I'm not sure if it is because the Different Dimension just isn't prone to it, or if the DRK Seal Glaze was working.  Anyway, stamped image from Hit The Bottle To Boldly Go-01 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, no top coat.  This is a great image to use, that lets the base shine through!

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  Unfortunately, some of the stamping wrinkled as everything was too wet here when I took the picture but the good news is that the wrinkling goes away when the nails dry.

Nails to Match My Sweater

I've had issues with my nails for almost a year now so since May 2022, I've been mainly sharing mani's that I've had in archives.  While I'm sad about my nails, if there's anything positive about this, is that I've been able to share so many mani's from archives or still on my camera roll.  I have soooo many as , except for the last year, I probably do my nails 5-7x a week, but only share 1-3x a week, so that's a lot of nails that haven't been shared.  There has been a few mani here and there that I've worn recently and shared with a fake nail or short but for the most part, they are all archived mani's.  I'm still doing my nails (mainly polishing, not much stamping) but haven't been sharing them when they are really short or in the growing out stage but I might as I've taken pictures in case I ever wanted to do them again when my nails grow out.  Some day lol.  In the meanwhile, this is almost the oldest mani saved on my camera roll and am sharing now.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Quo by Orly Mega Silver, Zoya Julie and Zoya Aurora, three coats each.

This was the inspiration for this mani; it was the sweater I was wearing at the time.

Topped with a base of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with image from Delaney Linges & Traits using FunkyFingers Gesso.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.
