It’s My Birthday!

Here's to another trip around the sun and another year older!  Here's the nails I'm wearing to my birthday today!

Started with a base of Cupcake White Pop, then topped with OPI Summer Monday-Fridays, with an accent of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Put a coat of Quo Epic Remix over OPI MBSW, then added top coat.

Added balloons using image from MoYou Festive 69 and the small bubbles from Chez Delaney Fete 003 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.  Stamping colours are MdU 11, 13, 29, 91 and 102.  Some of the images weren't the best, so I used a brush and filled in where needed.

Added words on accent nails with image from MoYou Festive 69 and MdU 11.  Dotted using all colours except 102.

Shadow stamped on accent MdU 91; however, it wasn't quite what I was looking for.

So shadow stamped again using MdU 102, then added a few dots 102 to match.  

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I did Ms. Cindy slightly different, but still on theme!

Birthday Nails!

My granddaughter turned three in December and at the time, I was in the midst of all the holiday nails, so didn't get around to sharing them.  Until now!  Her birthday party theme was dinosaurs and she thought they were awesome; here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Orly On a Whim (thumb), KBShimmer In Yacht Water (index and ring) and KBShimmer Chick Me Out (middle).

Topped thumb with topped with KBShimmer Something to Taco About, then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  

I used a lot of plates for this mani including many that I had never used before, so please be patient while I share them!

Manitude Basics x Alphabet

Made a stamper decal from What's Up Nails B055 and words from MdU Jurassic Park using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  I'm prettyyyy sure the decal fill in was with KBShimmer Something to Taco About, but may be wrong.  Before stamping the ring finger, I added a little sponged gradient with Orly Midnight Oasis, then stamped with EDK Jurassic Age using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  Stamped pinky and thumb with images from EdK Jurassic Age as well (footprint on the thumb and dinosaur on the pinky).  The pinky and index both have landscape stamped before the dinosaur both using MoYou London Jurassic Park 04, and was also used for the dinosaur on the index as well using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief and Stamped in Clay.  The landscape was stamped with CjS 083 and 218.  Happy Birthday on thumb was from SBS 28 and heart, star and smiley face on thumb was from Maniology X Carole Annette M415 using What's Up Bargain-villea.  The number 3 was stamped from plate Manitude Basics x Alphabet and the letters for the name were stamped individually using Manitude Books & Crannies.  

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Also added a coat of Essie Matte About You, which made the middle nail really pop!

These were really time consuming; I think they took me three hours in total from picking plates and polishes, to doing all the different steps, but worth it when I seen the smile on her face when she seen them.  It was also great to use a bunch of plates that I hadn't used before.

Happy Birthday…..To Me!

I'm blessed to celebrate another birthday today!  Thanks to all my family and friends for the birthday wishes!  These are the nails I'm wearing today!

Started with a base of one coat of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls on a coat of Cupcake Polish White Pop, then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  After it was dry, sponged using BKind Mojito, BKind Sapa Valley and OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. 

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Clear Jelly Stamper CjS-257

I made stamper decals for all nails except the pinky using images from Maniology M458 (index), MoYou London Happy Birthday 02 (thumb and middle), and SugarBubbles SBS 28 (ring).  The layered stamping on the pinky is using Clear Jelly Stamper CjS-257.  Stamping polishes used are MdU 11, 52, 53, 65 and 91, with Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  

Added lots of individual stars using images from Chez Delaney Fete 001 and Maniology M458 using MdU 11.

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  

I did Ms. Cindy a little different but was all me with floral daisies from Maniology X Carole Annette M415 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate with MdU 11 centers, on a base of BKind Sapa Valley with accent nails topped with Sally Hansen Instadri Limelight, then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top. 

 Looking all that the next 365 days bring!  

I also used this mani for #MusicManiMonday but didn't pick a birthday song as I just used Happy Birthday for my son's bday a couple weeks ago, so used Taylor Swift's August, which is appropriate too!

Happy Birthday!

The one who made me a mom turned 30th last week and I did these birthday nails for him!  His current interest is playing darts so I did these dart themed nails; here's what I came up with!

Did a stamper smooshy base using lots of polishes.  Adding the shimmer was a good idea in theory as it adds lot of interest but such a pain in cleanup; it was everyyyyywhere!

These are the polishes used:  Pahlish 1989, KBShimmer Chill Out (Reflective), Essie Gel Couture Rock the Runway, Essie Gel Couture Cut Loose, Noodles Nail Polish Long Time No Sea, Lacquer Is in the Air I'm Just a Kid (PPU June 2022), Sally Hansen CSM Writing on the Walls, Did I Blue That and Draw Blue in.  (whew!)

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

After shrinking the dart board images, did stamper decals on the thumb and middle using MoYou London Games Collection-03; this plate was also used for the images on the pinky.  Then stamped using images from Maniology M458 (stars on background on index and pinky), MrFox-LB023 (words on index), MoYou London Happy Birthday 01 and 02 (cupcake and stars on ring), and UberChic UC mini:  Happy Birthday (numbers on index).  Stamping polishes are MdU 11, 13, and 91, Painted Polish Midnight Mischief and Blanc Slate.  Also used red and green Sally Hansen CSM polishes for stamper decals but didn't make note on them.

Added random stars on middle and thumb using MoYou London Happy Birthday 01 using MdU 11 for filler and interest.

After removing the hair that I seen on the index finger, topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

 Here was the cake my son had for his birthday, which was awesome!

My son really liked these nails so the time and effort they took was worth it (as they were time consuming lol).

Happy 75th Birthday, Dad!

Today is my dad's 75th birthday, and it happens to have been the birthday of his favourite singer, Elvis, so I thought I'd do this Elvis themed mani in his honour!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.  I had Nvr Enuff Afterglow sitting on my desk from a prior mani and decided to top the thumb nail with it for a little added glam and interest, then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top. 

MdU Elvis.  

Stamped using MdU Elvis (main thumb image, shrunken, pinky, ring and middle), 

and Delaney Musique 001 (index and notes on thumb), using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

After applying a thin coat of Apipilia no smear topcoat, topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.
