Daisies!

Not the blue daisies I usually wear but I did these as I still wanted summer nails and to change up the colours a bit.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Cirque El Capitan and Cirque Hustle, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using Lina 4 Seasons-Spring 02 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Used same base polishes and added floral center dots on the opposite colour.

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Brights!

Some days, I feel like wearing neon on my nails and not too long ago, I decided to go with these neon nails!  I love wearing brights during the summer and we are finally having some summer weather!

Started with a base of Pahlish Meringue Clouds Mystery Batch, two coats, no top coat.

Topped with Vanessa Molina Limoncello Martini, no top coat.  This is what I'm talking about!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from SdP 34 using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

Honey Bee!

This weeks mani for #MusicManiMonday.  Honey Bee nails inspired by Blake Shelton's song Honey Bee!  I heard this song while on a drive with my husband and had to suffer through listening to a local country music station and this was one of the songs that came on.  Cute little ditty of a song; one of the better ones that I heard that day.  Not my genre of music but there are a few country songs that I like.  And it stuck with me so I did nails later that night with honey bees on them.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Orly Caught Off Gourd, no top coat.

Added a coat of KBShimmer Raking It In on thumb for interest.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

AN Abejita from MdU.

MouTeen-189

Maniology MXM103

Images used Manioloy CYO X Maniology M093 (thumb, honey on index and buzz on ring), Maniology MXM103 (drip on index), MouTeen-189 (middle and ring) and AN Abejita by MdU (pinky, and flower on ring).  Some of these images like the word buzz and the flower on the ring were added after this picture.

Added words on flower on the ring.

Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

These were done when my nails were in recovery.  Not the prettiest, but as I've said, it didn't stop me from doing my nails.  I still think they turned out cool and it shows that cool nail art can be done on short nails too!

Sunflowers!

We're in the dreary days of winter and I'm counting down the days until the skies are sunny and the breeze is warm!  On a hot summer day last summer, we did a walk through a sunflower field with our granddaughter that was one of the highlights of our summer and I'm looking forward to doing it again this year!  In the meanwhile, I'll have to look at these sunny nails!

Started with a base of two coats of Wet n Wild Potassium Rich, no top coat.

Topped with Garden Path When the Owl & Witch Together Are Seen, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using What's Up B044 using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Pictures from the sunflower stroll!

Fall Leaves

We've had cooler temperatures at night and fall leaves are in full swing in my travelled area.  Not as vibrant as other years, but still really, really pretty!

Started with a couple of OG fall colours; Sally Hansen Yummy Yam and Sally Hansen Butterscotch.  These are holy grail fall colours to me; I use them almost without fail every fall.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

ShopAnts XL-016

Stamped lines from Creative Shop 182 Basic using Painted Polish Stamped in Sweet Potato and isolated a leaf from ShopAnts XL-016 using a gradient of MdU 11, 13, 106 and 122.  The dent in the middle nail is from the stamper edge hitting semi wet nails.  I forever pick up images on the edge of the stamper versus the middle.

Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Cringe Worthy

I'm going through archived nails for posts while I think these turned out OK, I know I didn't post them because I didn't think they were post worthy due to the cleanup.  I can't believe there was so much polish left at the edge....even with latex barrier!  Please overlook this as you see what I came up with!

Lina Mad for Mandelas 01

After applying a base of Fancy Gloss Neon Yellow, did a radial sponged gradient using Fancy Gloss Neon Yellow, Neon Orange and Tomato Soup.

After (not so great) cleanup, stamped using Lina Mad for Mandelas 01 using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  I have since changed my sponged method as I always apply the lightest of the polishes then apply the top coat and let it dry as I find when this is done, the polish doesn't come off the nail, versus on it, which sometimes happens when there is a lot of polish saturation with sponging.  You can see it happen on these nails too, which is why I do it differently now.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Fall Flowers!

I remembered when I did these nails that I was so excited to do a gradient and really wanted to put something on my nails other than the typical tropical looking nails, so I picked this floral image but what it did (to me, anyway) was make it look like a fall floral.  I'm not made about that but it just wasn't what I wanted at the time.  Here's what I came up with!

Did a sponged gradient using Morgan Taylor Ugh, As If, Morgan Taylor Let's Do A Makeover and Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Poppy Patch.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from UberChic UC Japanese Motif with Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I wished I had have taken a small detail brush with black polish and filled in those voids that didn't stamp solid but didn't notice them until I was already finished.  They weren't visible to the eye, just in these supersized pictures.
