Digit-al Dozen, Animal Week; Day 3

Another mani for Animal Week; this is life on the farm.  I've had this as an idea for a while now and am so glad that I was able to finally use it for animal theme week!

Started with a base of two coats of Petite Color Fever Creme Blue; topped with SV.

After sponging the index finger with white polish, stamped the farm scene.  Plates used were MW62 (pig and horse), SdP 95 (chickens), Dash 6 (cow) and QA 19 (house).  Stamping polishes were black Konad special polish and FUN stamping polishes in Cotton Candy and Mango Shake.

Stamped in a few more images.  The plates used were SdP 12 (sun), CH36 (clouds near house), Konad m79 (rest of the clouds), SdP 71 (butterflies above cow) and Konad m83 (bird above horse).  Royal purple and white stamping polishes were used for the white and purple stamping.

Using green and apple green Konad special polishes, added grass to three fingers using a dotter.

Dotted in some dirt to the pig and chicken fingers.  (lol...chicken fingers!)  It was suppose to mimic dirt; while I don't mind it on the pinky, the dotting didn't translate well on the thumb.  I took a sponge and pressed it a bit to make smudges but that didn't really work that well either.  I also took a brush and added in a little tall grass on the horse and cow fingers.

Topped with SV.

Here's the other Day 3 Animal Week mani's from the rest of the Digital Dozen.

Spring Flowers

This weeks FB Adventures in Stamping challenge was spring flowers.  This is what I came up with.

Started with a base of two coats of two coats of L'Oreal Royally Yours, topped with SV.

Did a few stamper decals for the spring scene.  This is from Lilic's A03.  All polishes are Konad special polishes.

Ladybugs from Lilic's A01.

Both tulip images is from Lilic's A03; I didn't add the butterfly in the image below as I planned on stamping above it.

I already had this one applied before I realized that I hadn't taken a pix of it!  This image was too large for my nail so I tried to position it as best as I could.

Turned out OK.  This is my fave finger (er, thumb!) of the bunch!

After applying all the stamper decals and topping with SV, added a few images to the pinky; CH36 (sun and cloud) and Apipila G04 (bee).  While I had planned on stamping above the tulips on the middle finger, the image was so large that I didn't really have a lot of space so decided to leave as is.

I didn't do a terribly great job of keeping these stamper decals wrinkle free so you can see the wrinkles quite a bit.  Only visible in macro though so I can live with it!

Last Lazy Days of Summer

Yesterday's FB Adventures in Stamping Challenge was Pulsating Pink or Purple.  I've been having some fun on the board the last couple weeks and when I seen the three options this week, which were Pulsating Pink or Purple, Obnoxious Orange or Last Lazy Days of Summer...well, I voted for last lazy days of summer as I've reallyyyy wanted to do a summer mani....just needed a little incentive!  When it wasn't the winner, I said I'd be doing a Pulsating Pink and Purple, with Obnoxious Orange, Last Days of Summer mani....and I did!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Orly Wet Your Popcicle (thumb), Orly Beach Cruiser (index and ring) and China Glaze Under the Boardwalk (middle and pinky).

Stamped using CH36 (sunglasses on index, sun image on a few different fingers), SdP 57 (beach theme on middle, fish on index, butterfly on thumb), SdP 75 (bare feet and boat on thumb), Soft stamp A30 (swimsuit on ring) and SdP 1 (ice cream on pinky...except I took small brush and removed face image before I stamped it so it was just a plain ice cream cone!)

Added random dots throughout using the same three polishes.  I double dotted most of the dots so they would be more opaque and visible.

As bright as this is...and it IS bright, I thought it needed a pop of colour.  I remembered that I had been ROAK'd a bottle of FUN neon yellow stamping polish with my FUN plate and polish order...so added a few random dots using it.

Topped with SV.

I sure hope that there's more summer yet over the next few weeks...but if not, this may be one of the last lazy days of summer mani's indeed!

Summer Nautical Nails

Cheeky released yet another preview of their soon to be released Summer Collection, CH36.  Perfect for some summer fun!  Here's what I came up with!

This plate has a nautical/water summer feel to it, so I thought blue, red and white as soon as I seen it.  Started with a base of Sally Hansen White Out, Duri Blueberry Daiquiri and Odyssey Top of Universe, all two coats.

Odyssey isn't a brand I've used before; I had picked up a few bottles some time ago at a random beauty supply place and this was the first time trying any of them out....this polish went on like butter!   They didn't have much colour wise for selection or I'd go back and pick up a few more bottles.

I had a little misstamping here and removed one of the anchors and then stamped in a single one...still not perfect but better than the bare spot.

Stamped using CH36 using white, red and royal purple Konad special polishes; the yellow is Fab Ur Nails yellow.

Here's the new Cheeky plate previewed....

Cheeky is wanting a feel for how many gals will be ordering these plates..  so if you plan on getting them, please make sure you like their May 17th post!
