Digit-al Dozen Does Holo; Day 4

I'm late with posting the day 4 holo challenge mani but what else is new it seems!  Better late than never, as the saying goes!

Today's holo mani is more snowflakes with scattered holo polishes from Glam Polish.  You will see that even my camera kinda freaked out a bit on this mani; it didn't focus that well...or user error, who knows!  Regardless, it was pretty and sparkly!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with two coats each of Glam Polish Someday My Prince Will Come with accent of Glam Polish Remember the Monster? on index.

Top coated with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Did a sponged gradient on middle, ring and thumb using same two Glam polishes.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped gradient nails using image from Marianne Nails professional n.31 and accent nails using B. Loves B.05 Let It Snow using FunkyFingers Gesso.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Digit-al Dozen Does Look Up; Day 4

I'm still sharing Digit-al Dozen mani's even though I'm terribly behind with them!  For day 4 look up challenge, I'm sharing bubbles floating in the air based upon the neighbours children blowing bubbles in the middle of our court that I seen a couple weeks ago!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Butter London Molly-Coddled, no top coat.

I've been all about layering lately and this was another that I thought I would layer; added unknown Cosmetic Arts iridescent glitter.

For a bit more sparkle, added Cover Girl City Lights.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with an image from B. Loves B.00 Rainbows and Unicorns using FunkyFingers Gesso.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

How Many Fall Mani's Is Too Much???

It's beginning to look like fall in our area!  The cooler nights have taken their toll on the trees and colour is starting to pop up here and there and if you're a nature lover like me, it's a great time to soak it all in! It's a long weekend here in Canada; a perfect time to go for long drives to take in the beautiful scenery, which I will be doing this weekend!

Speaking of fall, here's another quick post of fall leaves!  I'm really surprised how many different ways I've managed to do fall leaves but I did notice that I've been pretty much using the same stamping polishes for all them but it can't be help it, these Mdu's just lend themselves to use this time of year

Started with a base of two coats of Bee's Knees Greylings, no top coat.  Yes.  That shine is with no top coat!

Topped with a thin coat of Bee's Knees Whisper Darkness Between The Stars.  Love this look and am really loving all my recent layering!

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using B. Loves Plates B.04 Leaves of Happiness using MdU 59, 66 and 106.

Have a great weekend and hopefully a great long weekend too!  Safe travels if you're going to be out and about checking out all the fall has to offer!

Digit-al Dozen Does Mythical Creatures; Day 2

Continuing with mythical creatures challenge for Digit-al Dozen week, today's mani has these cute little unicorns with bubble accents (which make no sense in how they relate to unicorns except I thought they were cute!).  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a stamper smooshy base of a bunch of brights:  KBShimmer Sarong Place Sarong Time, KBShimmer Leggo My Mango, KBShimmer In Yacht Water, Girly Bits It's Hoop To Be Square, Girly Bits Get Indie Flow and Nicole by OPI Hit The Lights.  In case you think it's a little subdued if you are familiar with all those polishes, it's because I did the first stamp on my right hand, then used the remnants of the stamp on the left for a more pastel look.

Wanted to add magical fairy dust to these unicorn nails, so added a coat of Sally Hansen Diamonds, then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Added images from B. Loves Plates B.00 Rainbows and Unicorns.

Stamped using Funky Fingers Dark Knight.

Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Fall Nails!

I've resisting wearing fall colours for a while now, even though fall has now officially arrived.  The brights lover in me wants doesn't want to wear the darker shades!  Especially when the weather has been so nice! The only good thing about the cool nights is that the leaves are now starting to change and use of the hot tub resumes! Anyway, this is my first fall mani to share!

Started with a base of two coats of Glam Polish Mauna Loa with brown accents of L'Oreal Brownie Points; both two coats, no top coat.  I never would have thought of Glam Polish Mauna Loa as a fall shade but the burnt orange colour works as one for me!  Can I just say that I've reached for L'Oreal Brownie Points time and time again for a few fall manis already!  The rich hue of the deep chocolate brown has been the perfect shade for what I've been wanting to do....and as an added bonus, it looks fantastic with gold!

Topped with KBShimmer before stamping.

Using CND Gold Chrome, stamped using an image from B. Loves Plates B.01 Geometry is Perfect. I wish there weren't so many polish voids in the stamping; not that noticeable IRL but magnified in macro, unfortunately.

Added a few gold studs on Glam Mauna Loa, then topped it all off with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

In hindsight, I wished I had have reversed the colours on the fingers; I think it would have flowed a little better. But all in all, I didn't mind this look. I love the look of the gold on the L'Oreal Brownie Points; in fact, have done a few other mani's since them with this colour scheme.
