Fishy's

I went snorkeling in the Pacific Ocean on one of my cruises and I hadn't snorkeled in about 20 years but it's just like riding a bike.  Unlike 20 years ago when I last snorkeled, I was able to take some underwater pictures of fish with one of those waterproof pouches for your phone camera.  I didn't trust it with my latest version of phone so took an older phone but as luck would have it, I didn't have to worry as it never leaked.  However, the fish pix weren't as good as the colourful fish and coral I seen 20 years ago; I remember seeing a sting ray 20 years ago and was hyperventilating while it was near me, hoping it didn't come too close, but I hope I go snorkeling again and my current bucket list item is to see a turtle.  Keeping my fingers crossed!

I did a stamper smooshy base for this mani; here are the polishes that were used.

CjS-128

Polishes are OPI Charge It to Their Room, OPI I'm Yacht Leaving, OPI Destinies to be a Legend, Essie Aruba Blue, Morgan Taylor Take Me to Your Tribe, Sally Hansen Blinding Blue, Quo Happy-Go-Lucky, and Essence Walk on Air.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped nails with UberChic Mini:  Nautical using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, with an accent nail of CjS-128 using MdU 11, Mdu 107 and Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

I was even able to Ms. Cindy in the same design and it didn't turn out half bad, so thought I'd share it too!

Whale Tail

One of my favourite things  is go when in the right water and time of year is to go whale watching.  I'm lucky that I've seen whales several times while on holiday, up in Alaska and down in Hawaii, and it was seeing them that inspired these nails.  Here's what I came up with!!!

Started with a coat of Essie In the Cab-ana, no top coat.

Topped accents nails using KBShimmer Chill Out (reflective), no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped accent nails using image from Apipila P62 with MdU 91.

Stamped the middle and ring using same Apipilia P62 plate, using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Shadow stamped the tails using CjS 165.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

While I'm happy I've seen whales, my next hope is that I can see a whale breach; it's on my bucket list!

Trick or Treat !

I like to make non traditional colours for holiday themed nails and this is one Halloween themed nail that isn't in a traditional Halloween colour.  But it's still cute!

Started with a base of two coats of China Glaze Blue Raspberry Ice, no top coat.  This is one of my favourite polishes to use and one of the few bottles of polish that I own that has a fill line.  Good thing I have a back up bottle already!  Accent nail is Lilypad Lacquer You Will Respect My Authoritahh! PPU July 2024.

Topped a couple more nails with Emily de Molly Guiding Light.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

CjS H-100

CjS H-42

CjS H-24

CjS H-74

Stamped thumb using CjS H-24 using CjS 165, then shadow stamped image from same plate using MdU 11 and Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  Index is CjS H-100 using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief, MdU 13 and Painted Polish Blanc Slate.  Middle is CjS H-78 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate and Midnight Mischief and CjS 201; ring is CjS H-42 using MdU 11 and Painted Polish Midnight Mischief and pinky is CjS H-42 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, MdU 11 and 13.

Added a few accent bats from CjS H-24 and pumpkin on middle using CjS H-24 shrunk with sizing stamper.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Happy Easter!!

Hopefully everyone had a good Easter weekend!  Here's the final set of Easter nails that I have to share this year!

MdU AZ Easter

MdU AZ Easter 2

Started with skittles; starting at thumb and going clockwise:  Essie Take The Lead, Zoya Kay, China Glaze Holy Sugar!, Zoya Lena and Zoya Tilda, no top coat.

Topped with Penelope Luz Scocery, then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Decided to do some tone on tone stamping:  used MdU AZ Easter for words and index image and MdU AZ Easter 2 for the rest; I shrank some images and also double stamped some images to get image opaque.  Stamping polishes used were CjS 165, CjS 212, CjS 218, Painted Polish Stamped in Royalty and MdU 11.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Merry Christmas!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Here's yet another mani that I didn't do the shadow stamping very well so I sure hope Santa brought that magnifying glass light that can be used for future mani's!

Started with a base of one coat of KBShimmer I'll Be Chrome For Christmas, over a coat of white soft focus, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

CjS C-64

I did a whole bunch of layered stamping on these nails using assortment of Clear Jelly Stamper plates and I'm have to say I'm surprised that they turned out as well as they did given that I can't see the best to line them up (hence the poor shadow stamping!).  Used CjS C-64 on the middle nails, UC Happy Christmas on pinky, and MoYou Noel 05 on thumb, index and ring finger.  Used Moyra SP14, CjS 062, Painted Polish Blanc Slate and Midnight Mischief, as well as a custom colour using Painted Polish Stamped in Mocha with white to obtain the desired shade.

Added a few snowflakes and mistletoes from UC Merry & Bright on a few nails, then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.
