Take Me To The Beach!

I pulled a bunch of summer themed plates and have been doing a lot of beach inspired mani's including this one.  Hopefully I don't get into a theme trap like I have been doing lately with a whole bunch of leaves in the fall, snowflakes in the winter, daisies in the spring...but I guess we'll see!  But just in case, be prepared to see lots of beach mani's like this one; here's what I came up with!

Started with a stamper smooshy base using Pahlish Cascades, China Glaze Capacity to See Beyond, Essie Style Cartel, Essie Viva Antigua! and FunkyFingers Gesso.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from UberChic UC Beach Plates (thumb and middle), What's Up Nails A019 (index), SugarBubbles SB 051 (pinky) and CreativeShop 84 (ring) using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

What's Up Nails A019.

Shadow stamped with Painted Polish Deux 2.0 using same images.  Stamped some a little too tight, some a little too loose; one of these days I'll get it right!

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Hope you're having a fantastic week and thanks for looking!

What's Not To Love In This Image?

How about some hot nails to brighten your day?  Another mani that I loved how it turned out and easy peasy which is also a bonus!  Here;s what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Zoya Lara, no top coat.

Topped with a very light coat of Pahlish Gumdrop Rooftops.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Did a stamped gradient using Apipila p.19 using FunkyFingers Gesso, Moyra Sp.19 and Painted Polish Stamped in Rose.  What a great image for stamping; image gives lots of interest on the nail but lets the beauty of the base polishes shine through!  A perfect stamping image in my books!

Some Cool Layering!

I love how the addition of a topper can change up a base polish so much; I love experimenting with a a couple of different layers and seeing how it turn all turns out, like I did for these nails.  The only thing that I was bothered by, in the case of this mani anyway, was that the stamping covered up too much of the base!  You can see a good bit of it still peeking through, but I do wish I had have picked an image with finer lines.  Next time!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of one coat Zoya Danielle, no top coat.   No, that isn't a typo; it is only one coat!  It had pretty good opaque coverage and I knew I was topping this so kept it to the one.

Topped with Pahlish Cloud Forest, no topcoat.  I'm loving the blue and pink flakies; so pretty and delicate!

But I needed a little more bling!  One coat of Seche Diamond Dust turned these nails up a bit and I was happy that I used it, even though I did like the look of the pretty flakies.  They can still be seen peeking through anyway!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using an image from SugarBubbles SB 040 using Painted Polish Stamped in Taro, Stamped in Rose and Blanc Slate.

I can't remember if this was the next day or immediately after the fact, but decided to add a top coat; added Glisten & Glow matte top coat.

I noticed when I was in the bathroom that the flakies from Pahlish Cloud Burst really showed up well so snapped a pix and thought I'd share it as well!  I see a little tip wear on the ring finger so I'm sure this was the next day.

Thanks for looking and enjoy the weekend!  Be safe!

Easter Bunny Nails!

I've heard that the Easter Bunny provides an essential service and hope that he made it to your home this morning, sharing a little Easter joy!  He skipped our house (we didn't need all any chocolate with all the home cooking and baking going on!) but was here on my nails and in spirit!

I went with another skittle mani for this base; starting at thumb and going clockwise, used Pahlish Ready or Yacht, Girly Bits Peep Calm and Carry On, Great Lakes Lacquer If You Swatch It, They Will Come, Pahlish Cotton Tail and Girly Bits Blossom Sauce.  The Girly Bits polishes are pretty opaque so only needed two coats; the rest needed three either to reach opaque or had to stroke the tips a little bit more to cover.

Stamped with images from MoYou London Festive Collection-09 (thumb, index and middle), Apipila L26 (ring), UberChic UC Yay Spring! (words on ring) and UberChic UC Welcome Spring (pinky) using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

Dragonflies!

I did these nails a couple weeks ago; they didn't turn out how I thought they would but overall, I've done worse!  I thought I would share them as part of the spring nails that I've been sharing lately.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of three coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

The glitter on the accent nails is Pahlish Brighter Than Sunflowers; the rest are dry brushed with Zoya Mitzi and Ulta Bam-Blue-Zled.  (My dry brush skills could be better; I still have too much polish on the brush for dry brushing!)

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with images from Moyra 68 Bug-hunter using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

Moyra 68-Bug-Hunter.  There are some stunning images on this plate despite the creepy plate name!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

I've been wearing glitter a little bit more now that I've been using Taco Holo Peely Base which so far, of all the peel off bases I've test, is the easiest to get off, but not so easy that you lose a nail before you're ready to take them off.

Thanks for looking!

Happy Easter!

Easter will be here before we know it so I thought I'd share another Easter mani to hopefully get them all shared by the holiday, not like all my snowflake, Valentine's Day and Christmas mani's that I did but didn't get around to sharing!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Pahlish Sunny Side test batch, three coats, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Applied stamper decals using images from Creative Shop 125 (index), Moyra 24 Primavera (middle), MoYou Festive 09 (ring chick), Messy Mansion MM36 (pinky), then stamped words from one of the UC plates (didn't mark it down but they were the smallest words I could find and they barely fit!) and a butterfly on the middle using MoYou Festive 58.  Did layer stamping on the thumb using an image from Dixie Plates Spring 02.

Easter Nails!

I realized that Easter is not too far away so thought I had better start sharing the Easter nails that I've done!  I actually did these in early March; it seemed that I had been doing St. Patrick's Day nails for a long time and needed to put something different on my nails for a change!

Here's what I came up with!

Started with a skittle base; polishes used starting at thumb and going clockwise are Girly Bits Peep Calm and Carry On, Different Dimension Mystery Proto 68, Different Dimension There is No One Alive You-er Than You,  Pahlish Rainbow Dash and Different Dimension It's All Make Belief Isn't I?

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using an image from MoYou London Festive 14 using Painted Polish Stamped in Starfruit, Painted Polish Stamped in Rose, Painted Polish Stamped in Greenery, MdU 91 and Mdu 101.
