Tropical Nails!

I did these nails one day before work to match the shirt I was wearing.  Not very creative I know but I liked how they turned out none the less!  This was also the first day of me trying out new a phone camera and lighting, etc. so some of the pictures aren't the best as I tried to adjust the lighting, the hand pose etc. for the best lighting but hopefully the quality is good enough for now until I figure it out a little more.

Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of CND Midnight Sapphire, topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with MdU 37 using image from Lina 4 Seasons-Summer 02.

Placed hibiscus using another image from Lina 4 Seasons-Summer 02 using MdU 12 and 84.

Using a brush, I hand painted floral centers using EdK Lisa and more MdU polishes; MdU 75, 81, etc.

Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Here's my nails and my shirt!

Hope you're having a great week; thanks for looking!

Birthday Tribite to Elena!!

Happy (Belated) Birthday to Elena of Nail Experiments!  Elena celebrated her birthday on Friday, June 22nd and I participated in the unicorn collaboration in celebration of her birthday!  These are the nails I came up with for it!

Started with a base of two coats of Zoya Mira, no top coat.

Topped with a coat of Rogue Lacquer Back to the Ninedaays.

Bottle shot of Rogue Lacquer Back to the Ninedaays.  This was part of the June 2018 Polish Pick Up and I thought it would be cool for some layering.  Based upon photos that I've seen of Back to the Ninedaays, it builds up to be opaque.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Using images from BundleMonster BM-XL214, made stamper decals then applied them directly to the nail. Used CND Taffy Pink, Bicycle Yellow, Zoya Yummy and FunkyFingers Gesso.

I took a lot of pictures to try to get a good picture of the thumb stamper decal which I think is kinda cool if I don't say so myself; here's one just by itself.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Elena, I hope you had a fabulous day and wonderful birthday weekend!  Thanks to Amanda of @polish.and.plates for the invite; it was a lot of fun and there were awesome unicorn mani's; here's the collage!

Digit-al Dozen Does In My Garden; Day 5

For the final day of the Digit-al Dozen in my garden challenge, I'm sharing these floral nails that look pretty close to the trilliums that I had this spring at my weekend place garden.   Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of three coats of KBShimmer We Be Jammin', no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

This is me taking pictures with my new phone to see if they are better quality lol!

Stamped using an image from Creative Shop 130 using FunkyFingers Gesso.

Added dots using China Glaze Werk It Honey!

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Here's the trillium picture that I took in my garden earlier this spring!

Here's the other ladies day 5 mani's!

Digital-Dozen Does In My Garden; Day 4

I'm slowly getting my Digit-al Dozen posts up so please bear with me while I plod through them!  This is what I came up with for my day 4 nails!  I do not have hibiscus in my garden but I pass by a garden in my neighbourhood on a regular basis that has a couple hibiscus trees and I stop and admire them on a regular basis and take pictures (they know this, in fact, they sometimes even chat with me while I'm admiring their garden). This is what I came up with!

Did a sponged gradient using Butter London Sunnies, Trout Pond and Macbeth.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using UberChic UC 7-01 using FunkyFingers Gesso.

Shadow stamped (or at least attempted!) using same image and FunkyFingers Dark Knight.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Here's a picture I took of the neighbour's hibiscus tree!

Digit-al Dozen Does In My Garden, Day 3

Are you ready for the weekend?  The weather forecast in my area is fabulous and I'm really looking forward to relaxing, trying to recover from this cold or whatever I've had for the last two weeks, sleep, read and eat. That's my agenda all weekend long!  This is my mani for day 3 of Digit-al Dozen in my garden challenge!

Started with a base of Scofflaw Drop Dead Fred, two coats, no top coat.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Made a couple stamper decals using an image from Lina 4 Seasons-Spring; filled in with CND Raspberry Parfait for a couple accent nails, then stamped the same image on the remaining nails.

Added few dots on the images that weren't a stamper decal using same CND Raspberry Parfait.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

This is the flower from my garden that my mani is inspired by!

Digit-al Dozen Does In My Garden; Day 2

I must apologize again for running late with the daily Digit-al Dozen challenges; I have all the pictures uploaded but have been having a hard time finding the time to put the post together.  I will work on getting them posted as soon as I can!

This is my day 2 mani inspired by in my garden!

Started with a base of two coats of American Apparel Neon Orange.

Did a sponged gradient using American Apparel Neon Orange, Neon Coral and Neon Poppy.  I really wanted more intense colour if that makes sense but these polishes weren't that opaque and I had sponged a lot so left it like this.

Added a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using an image from MoYou Flower Power Collection-20 using FunkyFingers Dark Knight.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

This is another floral taken directly from my garden.  My husband bought and planted this flower early this spring and to be honest, I'm not 100% what it is, but I believe it is a Gaillardia.  I will have to check the tag when I get a chance lol!
