A Lazy Sunday

 Sorry to be MIA again; I was sick for about a week, then had a really busy 10 days or so of work with so many meetings, blah blah, but the end result was that I didn't have much time to do any blog postings so today, I'm having a much needed lazy Sunday and am doing a few posts to schedule while watching movies.   (edit:  I started this on Sunday but didn't finish it until Monday as my lazy Sunday turned into doing chores around the house so it wasn't as lazy as I had hoped!) 

Started with a base of two coats of Red Eyed Lacquer Not Today Red Barron, HHC Halloween 2022, no top coat.  I cannoy say how much I love this polish!  I have a few back up bottles even which says a lot as I don't buy backups of many polishes lately but I do adore it!

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from Lesly LS-112 using MdU 91.

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Happy Family Day !

Family Day nails from a post earlier this week that I had deleted by mistake!

Started with a base of skittles; starting at thumb and going clockwise, Different Dimension Mystery Proto 353, Different Dimension Mystery Proto 332, Atomic Polish Rum Ham, Pahlish Meringue Clouds and Atomic Polish Selkie.  All two coats on a base of Cupcake Polish White Pop.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Images on all fingers except the thumb are from Candy Skull M-006 using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  On the thumb, the middle image of the kids is from MdU VZ 126, the family words is from The Stamping Shop Collab - Memes, the word day is from the name of the plate from UC Mini:  St. Patrick's Day 5 and happy, I didn't make note of.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!💜

Started with a base of Color Club Lily in Paris with accent nails of Morgan Taylor Powers of Persuasion.

Topped accent nails with Pahlish The Archer.

Decided to sponge it on the thumb as well.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Made stamper decals using image from BM-XL355, using Painted Polish Blanc slate, then filled in with Color Club Lily in Paris and applied them on the ring and pinky; however, I had them under a nail dryer, I think a little too long so they dried out pretty badly so cracked badly when placed on the nail, so I had to do some filling with polish and brush.  Middle finger is image stamper decal from Hit the Bottle To Love Or Not To Love 02, using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, then filled in with Color Club Lily in Paris as well, then applied to the nail.  Ring is stamped using image from MoYou Festive 20 using Painted Polish Stamped in Periwinkle.  Lastly, thumb nail is image using BM317 stamped with Painted Polish Stamped in Royalty, then (poor) shadow stamped using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Decided to shadow stamp the ring finger image using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Hello? Is That You, Valentine?

The cutest Valentine's Day nails that I did this year...and the first time I've sponged gradiented in a long, long time!  Here's what I came up with!

MdU ZZ Valentine S5

Started with a base of Morgan Taylor Adorably Clueless with accent nails of Painted Polish Don't Go Bacon My Heart, which was over Cupcake White Pop.

Did a sponged gradient using Morgan Taylor Adorably Clueless and You Optopi My Heart, no top coat.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped ring, middle and index with image from MdU ZZ Valentine S5.  Did a gradient stamp on the thunb using imagine from Lina All About Love 02 using Moyra SP19 and Maniology B463 and did a heart using same polishes using image from Lesly Love Me.

Shadow stamped thumb using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief and then did a stamper decal with the same image on the pinky using Morgan Taylor Optopi and Midnight Mischief.  That thumb....love!

Added random hearts on index, middle and ring using hearts from ZZ Valentine S5 and Maniology B463.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Super Bowl Nails!

Congrats, 49ers!  

I did these nails for the Super Bowl and was wearing them for the game, just didn't get to share them on the blog before the game.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, then top coated it with KBShimmer Clearly on Top. 

MoYou London Pro XL-19

MoYou London Pro Collection - 11.  The plates have a lot of the same images, I used plate 11 for these nails but my nails at this time are really short.  If they have any amount of length, I need to use the larger images, which is why I own both.  This need is pretty much eliminated now with the stampers that enlarge images!

MdU AZ Sports 2: Football 1

Started by stamping image from MoYou London Pro-11 using MdU 9.

Kansas image is from MdU VZ 12 on the thumb; San Francisco is MdU AK 35.  For the Kansas image, I stamped first in red and removed the arrow outline, then stamped a second time in black and removed the KC image but each time I used sticky base to get it to stick to the nail, which is why there is liquid look at the image.  But I was pretty excited I did this as I hadn't done this technicque before!  Words on thumb are from Lina Express Your Nails! 01.  Ring and index are from MdU AZ Sports 2:  Football 1, pinky image is UC Uber mini:  Football is life and words on middle is BM-XL181.  Used Painted Polish Midnight Mischief and MdU 9.

MdU Music 3

MdU Music 2.  I didn't end up using this plate but I had planned on using it.

Base is OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, then used MdU 3 on the ring finger and MdU AZ Sports 2:  Football 1 for the rest of the nails, using MdU 9 and Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  Those lips on the ring finger gave me so much grief but it was worth it as I think they make the mani!  The numbers on this shirt were a different plate but I didn't mark it down but it was another sport plate.

Pink Hearts!

 I realized that I pretty much only wear pink doing Valentine's Day nails which is odd because pink used to be my go to colour of choice when I did my nails a long time ago.  Here's some pink nails for Valentine's Day and hopefully more pink will show up between now and next V-Day!

Started with a base of Pahlish skittles; starting at thumb and going clockwise, used Pahlish Arietty, Love At First Bite sample batch, Champagne Problems, Sugar Venom and Once Upon A Dream.  Applied two or three coats of polish depending on if it was needed or not.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Maniology Classic Beauty BM-XL356

Stamped using image from Classic Beauty BM-XL356 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

I had a bit of polish drag on this mani even though I did a coat of no smear top coat.  Twice I had it happen when I haven't had it happen in a long, long time.  I *think* I figured out it happens because the coat of no smear top coat is dry and then the topcoat brush on the quickdry is dry and it doesn't glide over the stamping polish but picks it and drags it. Haven't had any issues since and I hope that is the end of it as it is highly annoying!
