Digit-al Dozen Does Colo(u)rs That Collide; Day 1

Not only is it Thanksgiving Day but it is also the first day of Digit-al Dozen week; our theme this month is colours that collide.  This is a rare time that I'm sharing two mani's in the same day so that I can still post for Thanksgiving Day but also try to keep on track for Digit-al Dozen posts.

I've taken day 1's nails a little literally; the colours actually collide on the nail (versus two colours that may clash) but the good thing is that we have wide berth on how we interpret the challenge!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Cupcake Polish Crazy Mod Love, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with images from Lina Twirls & Swirls 01 using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief and Blanc Slate.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

I took a pix outside the next day so you could see the awesome holoness of Cupcake Polish Mod Love.

Here's the other ladies day 1 mani's!

March Paint It Pretty Polish!

Are you a member of the Paint It Pretty Polish Facebook fan group?  If you aren't already, please go here for your opportunity to name and win the March Paint It Pretty Polish!  Sherri was good enough to send this beauty to me but it needs a name!  Go, Go, Go now for your chance to name and win it!

March's Paint It Pretty Polish** is a blue to purple to magenta multichrome with crystal chameleon flakes in pink and aqua and red/gold /green.  Shown is three coats, no top coat.

This is with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

There were no application issues; the flakes all laid down flat even with no top coat.  Clean up was easy peasy and there were no issues with nail or skin staining.  There were no issues with removal which is always an added benefit!

I did some nail art with an image that you could still see the pretty flakes shine through.  Used MdU 16 with an image from Lina Twirls & Swirls 01.  Added a few dots for interest using MdU 69.

Flakes and matte go hand in hand; added a coat of My Indie Polish My Perfect matte.

You didn't think I just did the thumb, did you?

The March Paint It Pretty Polish will be available via the etsy store here from March 1-30th and will retail for $12!

Please be sure to check out other swatches of this stunner in the Paint It Pretty Polish Fan group here as well as the Paint It Pretty Instagram account here!

Thank you again Sherri for entrusting me with swatching your pretties!  It is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for looking!

Sizzling Hot!

It's a sizzling hot here in the GTA today; how about some sizzling hot UP nails to go along with it?  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Zoya Reagan, no top coat.  Shine for days; this is straight out of the bottle, no top coat.  Love!

Topped with Nail Pattern Boldness Boop-Oop-A-Dupe, one coat.  Sorry for all those collectors of all things UP but this is long gone, no longer available.  I don't even see it come up for sale in blog sales, so sorry if this is now your latest lemming.  #sorrynotsorry

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

For stamping, I didn't want to pick an image that covered the base polish too much so stamped with an image from Lina Twirls & Swirls 01 using MdU 1.

Here's Ms. Cindy who is a bit different as this is my test hand usually.  Did same base of Zoya Reagan, then added a coat of Cult Nails Clairvoyant on all nails, with extra coat of the Nail Pattern Boldness on the thumb.  It wasn't the look I was looking for so that's why you didn't see it on my posted nails...but pretty cool none the less!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.
