Green With Envy Hearts for Valentines!

Who knew that a polish that is part of a Halloween collection would work so well for Valentine's Day? Although it's not your typical Valentine's mani, variety is the spice of life, right? 

Started with a base of Polished for Days Shadow on the Moon, two coats, no top coat.  Love, love, love this polish!  I want any sister polishes if they come along!

Stamped using image from Bunny Nails HD-B using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief, no top coat.

It's Love Time!

With the arrival of February 1st, I'm going to be sharing Valentine's Day mani's for the next little while, starting with this one!  This is one of the most typical Valentine's Day mani's that I'll be sharing; the rest are more non-traditional, that's for sure.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of pink skittles; starting at thumb and going clockwise, polishes used are:  WingDustCollections Beach Bum, Different Dimension April Showers Bring May Showers, Potion Polish The Glen Fairy, Pahlish Skyward and Painted Polish OK, Bloomer, no top coat.  Coats vary from 2-4 coats, with the WingDust needing the most, mainly to get some of those big glitters out!

Stamped using assortment of images using Painted Polish Blanc Slate: UberChic Love and Marriage 03 (middle), Bunny Nails HD-B (index and ring), Lina All About Love 02 (thumb) and Lina All About Love 01 (pinky), no topcoat.

Egg Hunt!

I thought the speckled egg looking nails would look cool matte and then thought that they might as well be stamped, so that's what I ended up doing; here's what I came up with!

The day after I did the speckled nails shown in this post here, I decided it might be a fun base to add some East images.

Used stamping images from Bunny Nails HD-B (two middle nails; stamped the image onto a stamper, then restamped on another stamper so the it is a stamped mirror image on the nails), MoYou Festive 68 (words on thumb) and UberChic Welcome Spring (pinky and index) using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  I didn't make note of the flower or butterfly used on the thumb.

Decided to finish with a coat of Essie Matte About You.

St. Patrick's Day Nails!

I've seen lots of green mani's this month and I thought it was time to share some of the St. Patrick's Day mani's that I've done including this one!  Here's what I came up with!

This mani is inspired by one of my hand towels that I put out; if only I could water marble but I can't (at least not well!) so decided to do a stamper smooshy!

For the stamper smooshy, used OPI Envy the Adventure, China Glaze Grass is Lime Greener, Trip of a Lime Time and Gaga for Green.  Accent nail is OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.

St. Patrick's Day Nails

When I sat down the night I did these nails, I didn't have St. Patrick's nails in mind but these just evolved once I had picked a base colour (mainly because I couldn't think of many stamping polish colours that would go with it).  To be honest, while the stamping polish looks OK with this base, I was a little hesitant because while it may not seem very obvious here, it is actually a yellow stamping polish.  But it worked and I went with it and the nails are what they are!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of three coats of Borghese Euro Green, no top coat.  Two coats would have been good but you could see some thin spots in the bright lights for photos so added another coat for good measure!

Stamped using Hit the Bottle The Yolk Is On You! using images from HD-B (thumb) and MoYou Festive-21 on the rest.

Added words from MJ LVIII on middle and ring as well as a few dots for interest, filler and to balance the colours throughout the mani.

Valentine Hearts!

I have a few Valentine's Day manis to share before the day of love arrives!  As in the past, I try to do some untypical holiday mani's to shake things up a bit!  This is one that, believe it or not, started by me observing an army green car on my way to work and I decided right there that army green nails were going on that night! That turned into a Valentine's Day mani with some unusual colours; here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Butter London British Khaki (creme on ring and index), Painted Polish Lotus Love (middle) and Different Dimension Mystery Prototype 90 (thumb and pinky).  

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from Kelli Negri KN12 (thumb) and Bunny Nails HD-B on the rest of the nails using FunkyFingers Dark Knight.

Added random little hearts using image from UberChic Love & Marriage 02 using MdU 46; also added a couple more rows of hearts on the pinky and middle using same image from HD-B and MdU 46 and FunkyFingers Dark Knight.  Also stamped same image from KN 12 using MdU 46 but just added the heart in the middle on the thumb.

I love how this turned out; I also love how you can take some not so typical Valentine's Day colours and turn it into a Valentine's Day mani!

These are the nails I'll be wearing to ring in the new year!  Pretty fancy nails to be wearing while watching tv in my pajamas but that's OK!  Here's what I came up with!

I decided to do some shadow stamping; did numbers using Nicole by OPI Positive Energy using images from Maniology M042.  Used image HD-B on thumb.

Love!  I know there's a lot happening here and it is pretty blingy especially with holo base then holo stamping polish then silver on top of the gold!  I'm glad I did the shadow stamping to make the numbers and words pop a little better.
