Flamingos!

I seen flamingos in the wild on holiday travels recently and funny...they are not hot pink like we so often portray, especially when doing our nails.  Or maybe it's just me that always does hot pink with flamingos.  Like I did here; here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Quo Beauty Hot Stuff, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top. 

Stamped using MrFox-LC012 (thumb), Moyra 66-Exotique (middle and ring) and B. Loves B.11 Summer Paradise (pinky and index) using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Happy Birthday!

Today was my birthday and these were the nails that I wore all day!

Started with a stamper smoosh base using Pahlish ?, Sally Hansen Hard Drive Me Crazy, Essie All Fund & Games and Cupcake Polish White Pop.  

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  

Did a bunch of stamper decals using images from Sugar Bubbles SBS 28 (thumb, pinky, index), Maniology M458 (ring) and UC mini:  Happy Birthday (middle).  Did the outlined in Painted Polish Midnight Mischief, then used a whole lot of colours for the decals:  MdU 11, 65, 91, Different Dimension Kiss Me Under The Light of a Thousand Stars, Quo Sweep Lollipop, Quo Periwinkle Pop, and Sally Hansen Dockside Dreaming.  I didn't plan it very well in advance or I wouldn't have used so much green in the decals.  Also, all the effort in the smooshy stamper base and decals cover most of it.  I could have done an easy coat of a creme polish!  I like how the base looked; maybe for another mani some day.

Thinking of Maui

It's extremely sad to see the devastation that is being shown in the media from the fires in Maui.  I've never been there but it has always been on my bucketlist and hopefully, one day, I'll make it there in my travels.  In the meanwhile, these tropical nails will be the closest I'll be to there in some time.  My condolences to those lost loved ones or have injured family and my thoughts are with those who were impacted by the fires.

Started with a base of Nubar Dusk Til Dawn and Orly Connect the Dots, two coats each.

Topped with Orly with Quo Beauty Xtreme FX Hot & Spicy.

Stamped lines using Lina Born to Sail 01 using MdU 72 and Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Added flowers from UberChic Japanese Motif using MdU 72.

Shadow stamped (not very well!) the same image using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Added dots using Nubar Dusk Til Dawn.

Did smaller dots in floral centers using MdU 72.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

This is another great image for stamping that has some interest and lets lots of the base polish or polishes as in this case, shine through!

It's the Season!

Dandelions started to sprout up on our lawn this week and pretty soon, dandilion fluff will be flying everywhere, so it's a good time to share these nails!

Grrr, the top coat smear is soo annoying; this is why I started topping my mani's with Apipila smudge-free top coat; this might be one of the last mani's I did before using it.  I first seen it via Polish Pickup and thankfully, Girly Bits also stocks it...although I think I've stocked up a lifetime supply lol.

Then topped with matte top coat; shows the flakies!
