Happy Halloween!

It's Trick or Treating Day; have a Happy Halloween if you celebrate!  The weather is suppose to be really warm and I suspect that there will be lots of kids at my door tonight and although I don't have any kids going out as they are past that, my two grandchildren will be going door to door.  Yes, I've hit that phase!  

Started on a base of skittles; starting at the thumb and going clockwise, polishes used are Colors by llarowe Sweet Nector (Hypnotic Polish Exclusive), Pampered Polish Blast Ended Skrewt, Noodles Polish Kool Halloween (PPU September 2024), Noodles Polish Chills & Thrills, and Nine Zero Eight Spotted Forester, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Clear Jelly Stamper CjS H-57

I usually take pix as I go along but looks like this is pretty much the finished look except top coatl must have been in a rush!  Used a whole slew of plates which is pretty typical for me; CjS H-55 (middle), Lina Spooklicious! 02 (words on middle), CjS H-78 (index), CjS H-57 (pinky), CjS H-74 (ring) and Hit The Bottle So Creepin Cute (thumb).  These are either shadow or layered stamping.  Stamping polishes used are MdU 11, 13, Painted Polish Blanc Slate, Midnight Mischief and Stamped in Slate.  Also added bat for filler and interest using Wistonia Haunted House.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Pumpkin Faces!

It's kinda of a tradition that I do these Jack O' Lantern looking nails and I've done a few different versions over the years.  Here's another one that I came up with!

With bats; kinda looks like pumpkin hair!

Started with a base of three coats Colors by llarowe Sweet Nectar, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from Delaney Halloween 002 using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  I love that the faces come in different sizes so I can add the smaller one on the pinky, which makes it fit my small nails!

Added bats at the tips for just a different look.

Happy Winter to All!

Winter is upon us and we might as well embrace it!  I did this mani last year and don't know why I never shared it; as I was browsing pictures to decide on what to post, I came across this mani and thought, this is cool; why didn't I post it last year?  I can only hope that I had even more amazing mani's to post....but doubt it lol!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of skittles; starting at thumb and going clockwise:  SuperChic Lacquer Throwing Shade, CbL Gemini, Painted Polish Seeing Stars on Morgan Taylor Making Waves,  Savannah Lacquer Luigi Time on OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and Painted Polish Grinch Green on OPI Envy the Adventure.  Some stun-ning polishes here; particularly loving the index, middle and pinky fingers!

Shadow stamped ring finger using Lina 4 Seasons-Winter 03 using MdU 3 and 39.

Added further images using Lina 4 Seasons-Winter 02 (index), B. Loves B10 Merry Christmas (thumb, middle and pinky) and What's Up B035 (small snowflakes on index) using Painted Polish Blanc Slate and MdU 3 and 39.  Added a little loose glitter on index.

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays!!  True fact; that's the song I sing over and over when I'm getting ready for the holiday season.  But I only know a couple lines lol.  Here's my Happy Holiday mani!

Started with a base of Colors by llarowe polishes; No, I'm Still Tacky, Last Harvest and Rain, two each, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using UberChic Holiday Jingle (all fingers except thumb), MdU Christmas 2 is on thumb, as well as UC Merry Christmas which is the mistletoe on the thumb, using Painted Polish Blanc Slate and Painted Polish Stamped in Greenery 2.0 (mistletoe) with the Cbl red holo as the berries).

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top (after using a non-smear polish that hadn't fully dried, which is why you see the cloudy marks here and there).

I thought this needed a little bit of umph so added a few random sized dots here and there using Painted Polish Stamped in Greenery 2.0.

Added a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Lest We Forget

Lest We Forget.

It's Remembrance Day here in Canada; the day we honour those who fought for our freedoms and those who continue to serve so we can continue with the freedoms we enjoy today.  

This is the 12th year that I'll be sharing Remembrance Day nails; I try to do at least one mani every year as the day holds great meaning to me.  I think of what my grandfather must have gone through fighting in WWII and am thankful that he made it home.  Quite frankly, I wouldn't be here if he didn't as my father was born after he returned being one of those families who had pre and post war babies, with my dad being a post war baby.  But I am more thankful that him and others risked their lives or unfortunately lost their life so we can have the freedoms we experience today.  Our world could be a whole lot different if they hadn't fought for our freedoms so we thank them and remember them as well as those who continue to serve.  We should be thanking them everyday, not just one day a year, quite frankly.

Started with a base of two coats of Different Dimension Everything I Brew, I Brew It For You.  First, I thought this was gray, only to discover when I found the gray from this collection after I finished these nails, that in fact, this is a pale blue.  Second, I had to laugh when I read the name; all I could think of was the Bryan Adams song as it was one of the significant dance songs with my husband at our wedding so many years ago and it made me think of that.

Stamped with images from Clear Jelly Stamper CJS H-026 using Konad Red and Painted Polish Midnight Mischief, then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  I thought this was going to be the final mani but decided to do a little more.

After making stamper decals using Wistonia W-04 using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief and filling in with Colors By Llarowe Sweet Beginnings, applied sticky base coat, then applied the decals on the nails directly from the stamper.

I added a bit of the CbL on the middle finger to had a glint of holo on those poppies and touched up the words on the middle finger (wished my lettering skills with a brush were better!), then topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

St. Patrick's Day Nails!

Top o' the morning to you!  Cheesy, I know, but I'm pretty sure at least one St. Patrick's Day post every year has this in it!  I'm starting to share St. Patrick's Day mani's now and this is the first one that I came up with!

Started with a base of Zoya Tilda with accent nails of Pretty & Polished If Hyruled The World, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

 

Stamped using Moyra 24 and UberChic mini: St. Patrick's Day using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Added dots using same polishes, as well as few added dots using Colors by Llarowe Last Harvest.

The other hand was my test hand; I didn't go with this loo but I thought it looked pretty cool!

Christmas Snowflakes!

I'm sharing these nails as I still have Christmas themed nails to share even though Christmas is over.  They are too much like Christmas to wait for January even though they are snowflakes.  I did these nails when I was doing Christmas nails but couldn't find images I wanted to use but really liked the snowflake images on this plate so decided to use them.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats each of Colors by llarowe Red Corvette and Cupcake Leaf Me Alone.  These are perfect Christmas colours and go together so well!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from Beauty Big Bang XL-94 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas from my family to yours!  I hope you have a wonderful holiday season!  

Started with a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, with accents of CbL Last Harvest and O Canada.

Topped thumb with a thin coat of KBShimmer Holly Back Girl.  Also topped the holos with OPI DS Shimmer for some more holo!  Then coated all with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Did a sponged gradient on two nails using OPI Envy the Adventure and Color Club Catwalk.

Stamped the holo accent nails with image from Delaney Lignes & Traits with Painted Polish Blanc Slate, the gradient nails with Dixie Plates Christmas 2018 with Painted Polish Midnight Mischief and the thumb with Marianne Nails n.127 using Konad red.

Added a couple dots on the reindeer using same polishes that were used in the gradient.

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.
