Too Soon?

I knew when I sat down to do my nails last night that it was calling for rain and because I've been wearing lots of neons and brights lately, I decided to wear something a little toned down.  I was looking through my IEC 2019 haul and seen these polishes and thought they would make a cool skittle fall mani.  This is what I came up with!

Started with a skittle base of Bees Knees Lacquer Bucking Bronco, Alter Ego Uncommonly Me, Bees Knees Lacquer Hell Knight, Alter Ego Happy I'm Not Like The Others and Alter Ego Being Myself.  All the Alter Ego polishes are two coats; the Bees Knees are three.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped on some fall leaves using image from Lina 4 Seasons-Autumn 01 using MdU 9, 11, 32, 51 and 66 (and not all them necessarily on each nail).

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

The Bees Knees have this pretty delicate shimmer in them so I decided to apply a matte top coat to highlight it; applied one coat of Glisten & Glow matte.

We had a late start to summer and I believe I heard it's forecasting for a warm fall so oodles of time so don't worry that I'll be sharing fall manis now.  I still have lots of summer looks to share before the leaves really change and the wind blows colder!  Just a nice change from the brights and neons that I've been wearing lately!

Thanks for looking!

Last of the Fall Nails!

I guess it's technically still fall as winter doesn't officially arrive until December 21st, but everyone has been posting snowflakes and Christmas nails already, I thought that sharing fall mani's was over.  But I did see my fellow Digit-al Dozen nail pal Copycat Claws posting fall nails yesterday and again today so I guess I'm not the only one still had fall nails to share!  I just had so many ideas and did wayyy more fall mani's than usual.  Oh well.  Let's hope it continues and that I will think of lots of ideas for Christmas mani's!  Here's what I came up with....and I promise not to share fall mani's until next year (that may be January 2019 but next year anyway)!

Started with a base of one coat each of Girly Bits Another Brick in the Fall with accent of Girly Bits It's Near Leaf Fall.

I've been trying to do more layering lately so topped with one coat of Bee's Knees Thorns All.  I'm not sure how well these pictures translate really how stunning this combination was.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I could not stop staring at my nails!

Stamped using image from Delaney Automne 002 for leaves with accent of Delaney Automne 001 for words on accent using MdU 11, 53 and 66.

The image and stamping polishes!

This isn't the best 'glamour shot' pose for blogging (or the best I can do anyway as by no means do I do glamour shots) but you see the stamping better.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

This was my favourite fall mani this year; don't ask me why I didn't share it sooner!  Too many other fall nails to share and no time I guess!

Enjoy the last of the fall weather and stay tuned for holiday and winter themed nails!  Well, not every post but I do have a few to share!

Have a great weekend and thanks for looking!

How Many Fall Mani's Is Too Much???

It's beginning to look like fall in our area!  The cooler nights have taken their toll on the trees and colour is starting to pop up here and there and if you're a nature lover like me, it's a great time to soak it all in! It's a long weekend here in Canada; a perfect time to go for long drives to take in the beautiful scenery, which I will be doing this weekend!

Speaking of fall, here's another quick post of fall leaves!  I'm really surprised how many different ways I've managed to do fall leaves but I did notice that I've been pretty much using the same stamping polishes for all them but it can't be help it, these Mdu's just lend themselves to use this time of year

Started with a base of two coats of Bee's Knees Greylings, no top coat.  Yes.  That shine is with no top coat!

Topped with a thin coat of Bee's Knees Whisper Darkness Between The Stars.  Love this look and am really loving all my recent layering!

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using B. Loves Plates B.04 Leaves of Happiness using MdU 59, 66 and 106.

Have a great weekend and hopefully a great long weekend too!  Safe travels if you're going to be out and about checking out all the fall has to offer!

Bee's Knees Lacquer A Better Strength

press sample

This gorgeous lilac with beautiful iridescent flakies is Bee's Knees Lacquer A Better Strength!  Another polish received at Indie Expo Canada 2018!

Started with a base of two coats of Nails Inc. Regent Place, no top coat.

Applied a thin coat of Bee's Knees Lacquer A Better Strength over Nail's Inc. Regent Place.  Application was easy; there were no problems with the polish formula or the brush.  One coat provided this general topper coverage although it would easily built to opaque in 2 or 3 coats as it is jammed with iridescent flakies! The colour of the tinted lilac base and the unicorn flakies (not the name, I just made it up as it seems so right!) blend so well together and it results in a stunning combination with hints of pink and blue flashing on your nails!  Bees Knees Lacquer A Better Strength is part of the A Court of Thorns and Roses Collection that was recently released.

Not too many manis I wear go unstamped, so stamped Bee's Knees A Better Strength with an image from Nail Matinee NM 07 using MdU 60, then topped it with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.  Again, wanting an image that allowed the beauty of the base to shine through with this tone on tone stamping.

This is my mani the next day out in the wild posing with flowers at the office!  Fantastic seeing the flakies shining through the stamped image!

Bee's Knees Lacquer A Better Strength and other polishes are available here.  Bee's Knees Lacquer is also available via Girly Bits here.
