A Classic Combination!

A couple posts ago, I said that one of my favourite colour combinations is green and pink.  I think blue and white are classic colour combinations and summer is another great time for this colour scheme!  I did these nails last summer right after IEC 2019 when I got this polish; here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of The Nail Bazaar Greek Getaway, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from MoYou Festive-08 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

A Different Looking Daisy!

I've had this mani in archives for a while now as I did it last November but as I was browsing draft posts, I realized that this mani has daisies on it too!  Love doing daisy mani's!  Although this image covers more of the base than I'd like, especially on this stunning base, it has a little bit more design and interest to it than other images of just a daisy.  Anyway, here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Quixotic Polish Ball Lightning.  This was from June 2019 Polish Pickup and is no longer available unless you are lucky enough tto find it in a destash.  While it does show a little thin here in the pix with the lighting, it did provide opaque coverage to the naked eye with just the two coats.  I also knew I was going to stamp on top of it so wasn't concerned if there were any bare-ishlooking areas.

While I did like this look, one of my favourite things to do is add dots, whether it is in the center of a flower like here or as filler.  They just add a little bit more interest and a pop of colour, I find.  Sometimes it adds a little to the mani; sometimes, it takes it a little over the top!  You never know until you to it!  Added the flower centers using MdU 20.

What's Not To Love In This Image?

How about some hot nails to brighten your day?  Another mani that I loved how it turned out and easy peasy which is also a bonus!  Here;s what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Zoya Lara, no top coat.

Topped with a very light coat of Pahlish Gumdrop Rooftops.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Did a stamped gradient using Apipila p.19 using FunkyFingers Gesso, Moyra Sp.19 and Painted Polish Stamped in Rose.  What a great image for stamping; image gives lots of interest on the nail but lets the beauty of the base polishes shine through!  A perfect stamping image in my books!

Beaches!

Who else is looking forward to warmer weather and lazy days at the beach?  Or maybe even a little vacation when the weather turns cooler to an exotic location where you can look at the amazing hues in the ocean water.  These days will return; beach days probably sooner than flying to your favourite resort or seaside little town where the water is tantalizing!  I'm looking forward to getting out onto the water once our weather turns a little warmer, that's for sure! I did these nails with this in mind; here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Elevation Polish The Med 2 with accent nails of Ulta Mint Condition.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Topped accent nails using Elevation Polish Yeti's Oceanside Vacation.

Stamped nails using MdU 76 using Lina 4 Seasons-Summer 01.

I was going to leave the nails as they are above but thought that some cool water images would look cool on top of this base.  Stamped using images from Sugar Bubbles SB 065 on all nails except thumb, which is Moyra 66 Exotique using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

Daisies!!!

Like a lot of areas in Canada and US (maybe more countries as well), we've had some unseasonably cool temperatures lately.  Even hail and snow a couple days earlier this week.  But it is calling for warmer weather and I can't wait to feel the warm air and sun on my face!  Might even go for a little drive in the country with the windows down to feel the breeze! We'll see!

Thought I'd share these brights in anticipation of all the sun we should be seeing soon!

Started with a base of three coats of China Glaze Good As Marigold, no top coat.

Topped with a coat of Fancy Gloss Magma.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using an image from Lina 4 Seasons-Spring 02 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Dotted flower centers using same base.  Don't ask me why; not really that obvious but it made sense at the time!

The next day, I thought that these flakies would look cool with matte top coat, so added a coat of Glisten & Glow matte top coat.  Not sure which one I liked best; they both look pretty awesome if I don't say so myself! haha!

One more shot; this time outdoors.  I don't really wear much orange and especially not outside of fall and Halloween but really love this combo!

Hope you're having a great week and thanks for looking!

Glam Skittles!

This is what happens when you can't decide what colour to put on your nails!  I was going for colours with similar finishes and if I'm not mistaken, they are pretty much all from the same collection release even though I didn't know that when I was picking polishes.  I was just like, ohhh, pretty colour, it needs to go on my nails!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Glam Polish skittles; starting at thumb and going clockwise, polishes are Fairest Of Them All, Her Own Kingdom, Someday My Prince Will Come, Far Far Away and A Little Bit of Magic.  All are two coats, no top coat.  I stand corrected; these are all from the same collection, Glam Polish Forever After Collection.  I thought a Little Bit of Magic was from another collection, but nope, it is part of the same collection which I found out when I googled the polishes, back from 2016.  Which I guess is why they all go so well together and have the same type of finish!  I was also pleasantly surprised that these were no trouble taking off either which is always a bonus!

MJ XL VIII

Stamped with an image from MJ XL VIII using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  The nail polish gods were with me (with help from a clear jelly stamper!) and I even managed to center the images not too badly on the nail for this mani!  I turned the image upside down each time to stamp it as I thought the little center looked like a cute heart and who wants an upside down heart???

Have a fabulous weekend, stay safe and thanks for looking!

Bursts of Blue!

While I love how this turned out, I feel badly because you can't see the beauty of the base that much.  What I mean is that while you can see the colour, the double stamping covers a lot of the flakies and I love flakies and feel badly that I covered them up so much here!  After I finished this, I thought, man, I had better use this polish again and not stamp so much on top of it!  Anyway, here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Moon Shine Mani Rise of Azshara, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  Please excuse middle nail; applied too much polish!

Stamped using image from EYNails n. 2 using Painted Polish Stamped in Cinderelly.

Then added another image from TU-042 using Painted Polish Deux 2.0.  (My notes said Painted Polish Stamped in Deux 2.0 hahaha.  If you have a lot of the Painted Polish stamped polishes, you'll get this!)
