Neon Floral Nails

Some days you just feel like a little neon on your nails and that's what I sat down to do one time not too long ago.  Here's what I came up with!

Did a stamper smooshy base using Color Club Totally Worth It, Mrs. Robinson, Almost Famous, All That Razz and FunkyFingers Gesso.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with Creative Shop 183 Basic using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  I really like these images that are on the smaller size for my smaller size nails.

The next day, I thought the they would like them with a matte topcoat so used one from Glisten & Glow, but I prefer the shiny version in this case for sure.  But you never know until you try, as the saying goes!

Last of the Cherry Blossom Nails!

This is the final cherry blossom mani that I have to share for now; I thought I had better get it posted before it isn't relevant!  Although cherry blossom nails are pretty enough to share any time of the year, don't you think?  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Color Club Feathered Hair Out to There, no top coat.  Coverage wasn't the best but it didn't matter; I knew I was going to do a gradient on top.

Did a gradient using Illamasqua DWS which was too dark so then used an unmarked Color Club.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Made a few stamper decals using Moyra 73-Sakura and MdU 30, Painted Polish Blanc Slate and Stamped in Rose for the thumb, index and pinky.  Also did stamper decals for the ring and middle using same Moyra 73; the flowers are same stamping polishes; the fan backgrounds are Liquid Ssky Bibbity Boppity Boo.  All outlines are Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Hot Pink Owls!

I was sorting through my image plates and came across these super cute owls and thought, they need to go on my nails stat!  So I set the plate aside to use for one of those days when I don't have time to sort through plates to find an image and that was not too long ago.  So here are those super cute owls on my nails now!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a stamper smooshy base of Color Club polishes Warhol, Modern Pink, Beach, Please! and All that Razz, no top coat.  One of my polishes apparently has a little DYI fluid it it, as you might notice on the thumb and middle finger!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using FUN 25 (pinky and index) and FUN 26 on the rest using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I thought the hearts on the owl image were a little too cutesy so decided to do a few dots in different sizes.

Bright Tropical Nails!

Anyone else itching for summer?  If I'm being honest, I'd be happy with warmer weather and less wind; it has been oh, so cold and windy lately!  I'm hoping the sun will soon shine as bright as these nails!

Started with a base of Painted Polish Midnight Mischief with accent gradient nails of Fancy Gloss Neon Green, Fancy Gloss Striking Blue and Color Club Almost Famous.  Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Using an image from Infinity 77, did a scraped gradient using MdU 11 and 38.

Infinity 77.

Using the same image from Infinity 77, stamped on the accent nails using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  This mani was actually a trial of sorts; I wanted to see if I liked the gradient with the black stamping or the black base with the gradient stamping....and to be honest, I prefer the black base with the gradient stamping!  Plus soooo much easier to do versus doing the sponged gradient, not to mention less time consuming!  But this was an interesting variation too.  I think lol!  Which do you prefer?

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

I guess if there's one positive to the colder weather, it is keeping people indoors, away from one another and less of an urge to go to cottage country so I guess there is a plus side to this cooler weather!

Spring!

Spring is in full swing here; the robins have been out and about, the weather is warmer, the sun is shining and my perennials are starting to peak up through the soil.  Time to do a little gardening to get beds ready and rake the leaves off the lawn that didn't get done last year! So I thought I'd share some spring nails!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a sponged gradient of Color Club polishes:  Factory Girl, Seas the Day and an unlabeled one (sorry! that was one problem with those 7 packs from Winners; some came unlabeled!)

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Made stamper decals using Lesly Flowerbed 2 (thumb), Lesly Flowerbed 1 (ring, index and pinky) and Moyra 24 Primavera using too many polishes to name and Painted Polish Midnight Mischief stamping polish, then applied them.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Added words using image from Lina 4 Seasons-Spring 01 on middle finger using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.  I tried a few times to shadow stamp it with black but it just wasn't showing up well enough on the stamper so left it as shown.  Then finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Hope you're having a fabulous day; thanks for looking!

Brights!

I did these nails a few days ago as I needed a little pick me up and something to brighten my day!  I hope you are doing OK and if not, they will brighten your day too!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a stamper smooshy base of Color Club Youthquake, Tropical State of Mind and One Love.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with an image from MoYou London Flower Power-14 using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Hope you're having a great weekend; thanks for looking!

Another Snowflake Mani!

We got our fair share of snow the last couple days so I thought I should share another snowflake mani while the white stuff is still around!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Color Club Catwalk.  I love this polish! I used it so many times over the holiday season.  Another great find at Winners this fall as part of the 7 pack for $9.99 deals!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with images from UberChic UC Christmas-01 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.  Loving the contract of the two colours!

Happy Family Day!

It's Family Day here in Ontario; I did these nails with the thought of families sharing time together outdoors having some winter fun!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a sponged gradient of Color Club Factory Girl and Sinful Colors Show and Teal.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Applied stamper decals from What's Up Nails B035 (thumb), BM-XL484 (index), Sugar Bubbles SBS 02 (middle), Delaney Hiver A002 (ring) and Delaney Hiver A001 (pinky).  The ring finger was stamped with image from Lesly Winter Mood 2 before applying the stamper decal.  Words on thumb are from Nailsways Back to Basics ABC 123.

BM XL-484

Added random snowflake images for filler and interest using Konad Square 29.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  I didn't notice the stamping smear until I posted these; too bad but these nails took a long time and I guess I should have waited a bit longer before top coating.

I was going for an old fashioned kind of look, so topped with Glisten  Glow matte to get that vintage look.

Reapplied top coat to finish.

Hope you are enjoying your long weekend if you have it off....or a great Monday for everyone else!
