Welcome, Summer!

Welcome, Summer!  Summer has officially arrived and nothing screams summer like flowers in bloom so I'm sharing these floral nails!

Started with a base of two coats of Pahlish This Room Is A Mess! Classic Mom mystery batch.  No top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped plaid with image from Creative Shop 182 Basic with MdU 91.

Added flowers from Lina 4 Seasons Spring-02 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, no top coat.

Added floral centers using MdU 80.

Topped using KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

After a day or so, added a coat of Essie Matte About You.  I really liked the look of the matte version, too.

Have a wonderful summer!

Snow...Go Away!

So here in Southern Ontario, this weekend past, we had as much snow as we had all of last year.  Needless to say, we got quite a bit; however, it pales in comparison to the amount of snow that has fallen in the snow belt this winter in other parts of Ontario.  I stayed in (couldn't go anyplace anyway, as it took over 24 hours for the plow to go down our street, although I think it may have been passable with effort anyway) and did some needed decluttering, baking and other things around the house for the long weekend.  Then had to deal with all the things that snow brought workwise and have been busy most of this week dealing with those issues.  But the snow we had won't be going away anytime soon so it's a good time to share more snow nails, including this one.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Sally Hansen Draw Blue In, two coats, no top coat.

Topped accent nails with Rogue Lacquer Knowledge Reclaimed (PPU August 2023).

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped plaid with image from Creative Shop 182 Basic using MdU 91, and accent nails using Lina 4 Seasons-Winter 02 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Stamped isolated snowflakes on accent nails using same Lina 4 Seasons-Winter 02 plate using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

I know I've shared this look before but I can't help it; it is one of my favourite looks and it will likely be shared again at some point lol.

Thanks for looking!

Let It Snow!

Snow is in the forecast today so I thought I could share a snowflake mani.  I did these last year (snow many snowflakes nails; snow time to share them).  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Easy Paris Cosmetics 037, no top coat.  I bought this polish and a few others when I was in Portugel on holiday.  They were very inexpensive, just one euro or a little over $2 CAD with exchange and you don't see that price often nowadays for any polish!  They really aren't unique but I was happy to have bought them as I likely won't be in Europe again and it was cool to have bought something not available here (at least, that I know of lol).

Topped accent nails with Nailed It Dragon Dance, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped images from Creative Shop 182 Basic (thumb, index and pinky), UberChic UC Let It Snow (middle) and UC It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas (ring) using MdU 68.

Shadow stamped the middle and ring finger using same plates, then added snowflakes on thumb, index and pinky from UC Let It Snow using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.  The shadow stamping wasn't that much on point on the ring finger but sometimes that how it goes.

UberChic UC Let It Snow .  If you are looking for a plate with a lot of different snowflake images, this is it!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Fall Leaves!

Fall in not only my favourite time of year, but it is my favourite season to do for nail art and I usually have so many manis completed, I don't get to share them all.  This is from last fall that I didn't share; here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of skittles; polishes used starting at thumb and going clockewise:  Olive Avenue Polish Golden Hour, OPI My Italian is a Little Rusty, and OPI Have Your Pantelone and Eat It too.

Topped with Garden Path Lacquers And She Had No Fear (HHC Halloween 2022).

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using an image from Creative Shop 182 Basic using Hit The Bottle From The Ground Up (PPU August 2021).

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Did double layered stamping as did the leaf image on top of the plaid using Clear Jelly Stamper CjS 135, using MdU 11, 13, 53 and 106.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

The next day, added a coat of Essie Matte About You.

Easter Time!

It's Easter time and I'm going to share a few Easter mani's over this next few days, starting with this one!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Zoya Shannon, no top coat.  My index finger is growing out a bit; enough that I'm sharing nails even though they are less than perfect!

Added a coat of Pahlish Witches Brew Sample Batch on accent nails, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped most nails using image from Creative Shop 182 Basic using MdU 52, and words on index nails from MoYou London Festive Collection-76 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Added cute bunnies in different sizes and locations on nails using shrinking/enlargening stamper from image from Nicole Diary 042 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Also added a few little itty, bitty flowers from same image.  I had shadow stamped the ring finger and it didn't turn out the best, so removed it and tried again with MdU 52 as the base.

Dotted the itty, bitty flowers using Zoya Shannon and shadow stamped the words on the ring finger more successfully.  I think this stamping is more balanced versus if the green was the predominant colour for the words.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Fall Plaid!

When my nails were growing out, I was doing simple polish and stamping and sometimes I took pictures of it, and sometimes now.  This was one mani when I didn't start to take pictures but once I had it stamped, thought it looked OK, which is why there's no base polish pictures on it's own.

Started with a base of two coats of Essie Let It Slide, then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  Stamped using Creative Shop 182 Basic using MdU 122.  The base and stamping polish compliment each other so well (I think!).

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Different lighting.

Daisies

If you've been here for a while, you'll know that I love to do daisy mani's with Lina 4 Seasons-Spring 2 and like to mix up the look with different colours and accent stamps.  I seen this daisy looking image on another plate and it made it's way into my shoppping cart and I received it not too long ago and sat down to do another daisy mani using it.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coars of Essie Gel Couture Cut Loose, no top coat. Oh man, I do love this shade of blue!

Topped with a coat of Polished for Days Fire Rainbow, no top coat.  This is my favourite flakie topper and I'm so happy I have a few back up bottles of it now so I can use it more often!!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

QL 70

Stamped lines with image from Creative Shop 182 Basic using MdU 68, then stamped using QL 70 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, no top coat.

Dotted floral centers using Painted Polish Stamped in Starfruit.

Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

While I like these daisy images, I don't like them quite as much as my go-to daisy Lina plate, but it was a nice change and I'm sure I'll do lots of mani's using them.  Although I do have to say, these look like sunny side up eggs to me! LOL!
