Swirls!

Dance Legend has some great polishes, which makes me wonder why I don't wear them more often.  Come to think of it, I know why.  Too many polishes!  I'm glad I was able to wear this one at least!  I wonder if they are still in business.  Does anyone know?  I don't see many posts about them now as I did years ago, probably because there are now so many polish options with the indie polish explosion.

Started with a base of two coats of Dance Legend Wow Prism Night Ranger, with a little extra at the tips.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using image from Moyra 54 Matrix using a combination of MdU 91 and Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

Floral Stripes

It's been a hot minute since I posted last.  Sorry, but sometimes life and work get busy and blogging suffers.  But I have a free evening and I hope to draft a few posts including this one!

UberChic 29-02.

Started with a base of two coats of Olive Ave Polish Skylight, no top coat.

Topped accent nails with Polished for Days Esperance.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped lines with image from Lina Feeling Shapely! 01 using MdU 80 and flowers from UberChic 29-02 using MdU 80 and 15.

Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

As if these weren't busy enough, I decided to add a few dots for some interest using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Which version do you like best?  I think I prefer with the dots.  More whimsical!

Another St. Patrick's Day Mani

Look at me; doing a second St. Patrick's Day mani in one day!  I had done quite a few St. Pats manis but time got away from me and I didn't get them shared, so while I have a good start to next years themed manis, I wanted to share another as I have them ready to share.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a skittle base of Pahlish Wild Lands (pinky, middle, index), Painted Polish Irish You Luck on Cupcake White Pop (ring) and Zoya Tilda (thumb).

Topped thumb with Glam Polish Wicked Cute.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using CjS H-103 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, MdU 50, MdU 8 and Painted Polish Woodland Whimsey.  Stamped index and pinky with image from BeautyBigBang XL-067 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, and ring and middle with image from Lantern & Wren A Wee Bit Irish, having shrunk the words on the ring finger, using Painted Polish Blanc Slate and MdU 39.

Shadow stamped middle with MdU 39 and ring with Painted Polish Woodland Whimsey.

Added small shamrocks on ring, middle and thumb using image from CjS H-50 Painted Polish Blanc Slate and Woodland Whimsey.

Finished with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Accent nail is Jen & Berries The Thing Cannot Be Described (LBOH February 2025), stamped with image from Lantern & Wren A Wee Bit Irish, using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Will the Snow Ever End?

The holiday season is over and now were in the throes of winter.  It's snowing as I type this and even with the snow that we have, we've been lucky compared to other parts of Ontario who already have several feet of snow.  The only good thing about the white stuff is it gives me reason to do pretty snowflake mani's including this one!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with two coats of Morgan Taylor Totally Better, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Topped accent nails with one thin coat of Pahlish Boo Bayou.

Applied KBShimmer Clearly on Top again.  The first time was a mistake.

The images with the lines and snowflakes are from Nicole Diary-L32, the rest are Bohemia Stamping Frosted Fairyland, all using Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Finished with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I did Ms. Cindy slightly different; applied the Pahlish to all nails along with the lines and snowflakes.

Tribute to Ace Frehley

We lost another rock legend a couple weeks ago with the passing of Ace Frehley, original member of KISS, after a fall at home.  I did these nails as a tribute for Mani Music Monday and for the song, I Was Make for Lovin' You by Kiss released back in May 1979, which was when Ace was part of the band.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and OPI Black Onxy, no top coat.

The black nails were layered with Polished for Days Interstellar and the white had Painted Polish 2019 added.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I wanted a little bit more pizzazz on the accent nails, so added a coat of Tins The Snow Love, then topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped stars using Classic Beauty BM-XL356 using Painted Polish Blanc Slate, then aces from Delaney Casino 001 (after increasing the size), and stamped ring with Apipila L18 (after increasing size and removing outline) and then MdU An Enanto 02 using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

Maniology MXM081

I have a confession.  The plan was that I was going to stamp the spaceman image from Maniology MXM081 on the thumb as Ace was known as the Spaceman in the group.  But  messed up and stamped the stars on all nails, but added it to Ms. Cindy after shrinking it; here's what it looks like.   This base polish is Glisten & Glow Comet.

I'm glad I added the stars as I like the look more and still on theme with stars in space!

Thanks for looking and RIP, Ace.

Happy Halloween!

 Happy Halloween!

These are my favourite Halloween nails to do; these are from a couple years ago as unfortunately, I didn't do any like this this year.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of a few Halloween like polishes:  Nine Zero Eight Spotted Forester (thumb and ring), Painted Polish Gilded Poppy (middle) and Fingerpaints Mistful Thinking topped with Watcha Indie Polish Wicked West Witch (Little Box of Horrors March 2022).

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using UC Halloween 03 using MdU 13 and Painted Polish Midnight Mischief (thumb); Lina Spooklicious 03 using MdU 106, Painted Polish Stamped in Slate, Painted Polish Midnight Mischief then added bats from Marianne Nails n131 (middle); UC Halloween 01 using MdU 106 and Painted Polish Midnight Mischief (pinky); Lantern & Wren Boo Squad using MdU 106 and Painted Polish Midnight Mischief (shrunk images with CjS stamper) (ring and index).  Added bats on index from Lina Spooklicious 03 using MdU 106 and Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.
