Gradient Bubbles!

This was a Digit-al Dozen mani that I did as a recreation to a past mani but had enough mani's to share so it didn't make the cut during challenge week but am sharing now!  A pretty simple mani overall with some gradient stamping but overall, it didn't turn out too badly!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Picture Polish Royal, no top coat. Picture Polish Royal is a blogger collaboration polish by Olivia Jade Nails who happens to be part of the Digit-al Dozen; a very talented blogger here.  Er, um, maybe I should have shared this during Digit-al Dozen week; it would have been more appropriate! hahaha!  I just love these Picture Polish scattered holographic polishes; great colours with added interest of the scattered holographic for just a bit of base interest, they glide on the nail with no issues and super easy to remove.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using an image from Lesly LS52 using MdU 16 and FunkyFingers Gesso.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.  Disregard nudge on thumb; sometime between top coating and taking the pix, I nicked it someplace and it is slightly off at the free edge.  So frustrating when that happens!

An Unposted Valentine Mani

This was another Valentine mani that I didn't get around to posting.  I could have squeezed it in but when I looked at it, I thought that it's one of those manis that could be posted anytime.  And that time is now!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Picture Polish Muse.  Please excuse my shorties and all the boo-boos.  But I still do my nails!

Muse had lots of shine even without topcoat, but I always add quick dry as it speeds up the process for stamping; added a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from Moyra No. 104 My Little Universe using MdU 1.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.

I really liked how this turned out; just goes to prove too that you can do some really cool nail art on short nails!

Hopefully you are having a good weekend; thanks for looking!

Spring Has Sprung!

We finally have some nice, warm, sunny weather - it seems that spring has finally arrived!  Here's a spring mani that I did not too long ago!

Started with a base of three coats of Great Lakes Lacquer Time Is A Face On The Water with accent of two coats of Picture Polish Wisteria.  Great Lakes Lacquer Time Is A Face On The Water was the GLL contribution to the March 2018 Polish Pick Up and the first polish I put on when my package arrived!  I would have shared before now except it didn't arrive until early April and I was only sharing blue mani's for the month of April.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on top.

Made a couple of stamper decals from an image from MoYou London Pro Collection-12.

Here's to hoping that all our snow, freezing rain, hail and any other nasty cold weather is behind up and that spring is finally here to stay!

Picture Polish Calm

It's a beautiful, sunny day here in Southern Ontario. FINALLY!!!  Let's hope the nice weather stays with us for a while!!!  I have a few spring mani's to share but they aren't blue so cannot share as I'm still sharing blue mani's for Autism Awareness month.  This is in the blue family with blue stamping so it still counts!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of three coats of Picture Polish Calm.

Topped with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped with an image from Apipila P.24 using MdU 1 and 68.

Picture Polish Forget Me Not

I love this bright blue mani with the bold contrasting lines; I did this way back in September 2016 and cannot believe I haven't shared yet!  If I recall correctly, these were the nails I wore for Polish Con 2016 in Chicago; I remember doing my nails right after packing on Friday afternoon and they were just dry to the touch as I went out the front door!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Picture Polish Forget Me Not, no top coat.

Topped with top coat.

Stamped using an image from Marianne Nails n.46 using FunkyFingers Gesso.

Added a metal stud on accent.

Topped with top coat to finish.

Thinking back, what a great weekend that was!  Well, except the 11 hour drive to Chicago and the 9 hour drive home.  The time difference accounts for leaving Friday night in rush hour traffic and our lovely random vehicle check by customs on our way into US.  The check wasn't the issue or the reason so much for the delay.  The delay was mainly due to a van full of priests that had locked their keys in their vehicle and every custom agent was going to their aid to try to get one of their doors open.  So everyone who was having a random vehicle check had to wait until they were finally on their way.  I guess they had something more important to attend to, more so that the group of us waiting on the customs agents to have our vehicles inspected!

Digit-al Dozen Does Stamping; Day 5

This might be one of the hardest mani's I've ever done which is why I saved it to share for the Digit-al Dozen stamping challenge theme.  This is triple stamping, with having to line up 2 different stamped images after doing the base stamping and while it's not perfect, I don't think it turned out that badly. Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Zoya Presley and Picture Polish Bardot, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I thought I had taken pix during the stamping progression, but I guess I was concentrating too much to get the stamping done as it is triple layered stamping.  Part of the problem was that while I loved the base colours, finding stamping polishes that went well with both of them was a challenge.  The other problem was that it would have been easier to line up everything if all the stamping was exactly the same on each finger but I switched up the images a bit and then had to find exactly the same way I switched them up on stamped image 2 and 3 and that was a bit of a challenge (hopefully that makes sense lol).  Ultimately, I decided upon this scheme which kinda made it very old, traditional looking but I still liked it.  Initially, stamped the base of the roses with Mdu 63.  Then stamped the petal outlines using MdU 76.  Lastly, and this was the hardest for me to line up, stamped the leaves using MoYou Fresh Basil.

Here's the other ladies Day 5 mani's!

An InLinkz Link-up

In the end, I think this was worth the effort and I like the multi dimensional or layering look of it.  I think I'll try it again sometime for sure!

Bright Florals!

All I see everywhere is sweater nails, snowflakes and dark colours..... and while I have to admit, I'm guilty of this too......I feel we all need a bit of colour in our lives!  I had this archived mani from September 2016 that I haven't shared and thought I would now to brighten your day if only for a fleeting glance! Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Picture Polish Wanderlust.

Topped with top coat.  I cannot be sure which one I used so it will remain nameless!

Stamped using MJ XLV using FunkyFingers Gesso.

Topped with top coat.

Decided to add some dots with Picture Polish Forget Me Knot, Picture Polish Autumn and Glam Gimme Gimme.

Dotted!

Finished with a final coat of top coat.

Hopefully these nails did brighten your day!
