A Different Looking Daisy!

I've had this mani in archives for a while now as I did it last November but as I was browsing draft posts, I realized that this mani has daisies on it too!  Love doing daisy mani's!  Although this image covers more of the base than I'd like, especially on this stunning base, it has a little bit more design and interest to it than other images of just a daisy.  Anyway, here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Quixotic Polish Ball Lightning.  This was from June 2019 Polish Pickup and is no longer available unless you are lucky enough tto find it in a destash.  While it does show a little thin here in the pix with the lighting, it did provide opaque coverage to the naked eye with just the two coats.  I also knew I was going to stamp on top of it so wasn't concerned if there were any bare-ishlooking areas.

While I did like this look, one of my favourite things to do is add dots, whether it is in the center of a flower like here or as filler.  They just add a little bit more interest and a pop of colour, I find.  Sometimes it adds a little to the mani; sometimes, it takes it a little over the top!  You never know until you to it!  Added the flower centers using MdU 20.

Bursts of Blue!

While I love how this turned out, I feel badly because you can't see the beauty of the base that much.  What I mean is that while you can see the colour, the double stamping covers a lot of the flakies and I love flakies and feel badly that I covered them up so much here!  After I finished this, I thought, man, I had better use this polish again and not stamp so much on top of it!  Anyway, here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of two coats of Moon Shine Mani Rise of Azshara, no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.  Please excuse middle nail; applied too much polish!

Stamped using image from EYNails n. 2 using Painted Polish Stamped in Cinderelly.

Then added another image from TU-042 using Painted Polish Deux 2.0.  (My notes said Painted Polish Stamped in Deux 2.0 hahaha.  If you have a lot of the Painted Polish stamped polishes, you'll get this!)

More Cherry Blossoms!

Here's another cherry blossom mani and OMG I cannot believe that I didn't do terribly bad using the layered images on the plate with lining up the outline and the filled in part onto the nail!  Thank you Clear Jelly Stamper lol!  Even with it, I rarely line up well and while this isn't perfect either, I'll take it as a win!  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of Different Dimension You Betta Werk (February 2020 PPU), no top coat.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Using images from Creative Shop 166, first stamped the fill in part of the blossoms using MdU 20, Painted Polish Stamped in Rose and Painted Polish Blanc Slate.

Then using the outline image on the same Creative Shop 166 plate, stamped on all the blossoms using Painted Polish Midnight Mischief.  In case it's not clear, I stamped the on the four fingers to make it look like a long branch and stamped the thumb with the part of the image I liked best!

Marble!

This was a quick and easy mani that I did a few months ago.  Here's what I came up with!

Started with a base of three coats of Bees Knees Ebirah, no top coat.  Love, love, love this polish!

Just one more!  Love!

Valentine Nails!

With Valentine's Day less than a week away, I thought I had better start to share a few mani's!  Here's a quick one I did not too long ago!

For this mani, I had picked out the flakie topper first, then went on the hunt for the perfect base.  This is two coats of OPI She's A Bad Muffuletta, no top oat.

Topped with Polished for Days Long Live the King (September 2019 PPU), no top coat.

Distressed Nails!

Happy New Year!  I hope you had a great one and all the best to you throughout the entire year!  How about we start the new year with a stunner!

I'm hard pressed to pick if I like the shiny or matte version of these nails but when I look at them, I don't think you can go wrong with either choice!

Shiny.....

.....or matte?

Started with a base of two coats of Poetry Cowgirl Nail Polish Sing 'em Good (March 2019 PPU), no top coat.  This could be a one coater I think, but I did two.  I have to say, this is the first time using a Poetry Cowgirl polish even though I have a few and OMG, am loving it!  Loved the formula, application was easy, no brush issues, no staining, easy clean up, almost a one coater and awesome looking polish....what's not to love???!!

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

I do have to say, I was hesitant to stamp over this beautiful polish!  But I did and think the stamping goes well with the base.  I used an image from  Marianne Nails n.120 using Mdu stamping polishes 68, 102 and FunkyFingers Gesso.

I thought the distressed look of the stamping would look cool matte, so topped with a coat of Glisten  Glow matte and wasn't disappointed!

Hope you are enjoying the first few days of the New Year....thanks for looking!

Season's Greetings!

The holiday season is in full swing and before we know it, it will be December 26th and we'll be contemplating what we are going to be doing for New Year's!  I'm actually going to have a pretty low key Christmas; however, the weekend after will be quite busy as we have having family get togethers both days.  Anyway, I was looking through all the holiday nail art plates and came across the cutest gingerbread man plate on the thumb so decided to do nails based around gmen!  Here's what I came up with!

This was my test hand; the thumb turned out better placement wise so thought I'd share is too!

Started with a base of three coats of Scofflaw Ugly Renaissance Baby Paintings, no top coat.  This was part of April 2019 Polish Pickup.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.

Stamped using images from Wistonia Have a Merry X'mas!(thumb) and B. Loves B.10 on the rest using MdU 22.

Wistonia Have a Merry X'mas!

Added seasonal greetings on thumb using Maniology M036 and holly using Marianne Nails n.118 using Konad red and MdU 37.  Also added dots here, there and everywhere using same two stamping polishes.

Decided didn't have enough dots so added more using CND Bicycle Yellow.  That isn't really why I added more lol, it was to brighten up the nails a bit!  This pix isn't the best; I had a really hard time with glare on the stamping as you can see on the pix above so tried some different lighting.

Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.  Funny hand post to try to get the words on the thumb visible!

These almost made me want to make some gmen cookies.  Almost.

Hope you're have a good weekend; thanks for looking!
