This is your public service announcement that if you aren't using a water based top coat after you stamp and before your final coat of of quick dry topcoat, that this is what happens to your stamping.
I've been doing my nails forever....like I think I'm on my 12th year of nail stamping or so and no matter how I float my topcoat, I will still occasionally get get stamping smear, but it doesn't happen that often now as I always do a coat of Apipila No Smudge Top Coat after I stamp and before applying the quick dry top coat. No, this isn't a sponsored post, it is just me helping you to avoid stamping smear in the future. I also have Hit the Bottle Aqua Base and a few others, but my preferred one is Apipila. I've bought it when it was available through Girly Bits, and with Polish Pickup, and Hella Handmade Creations and Little Box of Horrors, although I think it might only be available now through LBOH, as I haven't bought it for a while as I already have a lifetime supply, I love it so. Go get it and try it if you have stamping smear issues.
Started with a base of Glam Polishes: It's Now or Never, Remember the Monsters?, Someday My Prince Will Come, Crash! and It Sucks To Be Me, no top coat.
Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top.
Stamped using Painted Polish Blanc Slate using image from Creative Shop 5S.
Topped with KBShimmer Clearly on Top to finish.
This mani is from November 2020 and I bought my first bottle of Apipila No Smudge Top Coat from PPU on January 1, 2021 and haven't looked back. I haven't bought it since 2024 and that was with LBOH when I bought 4 bottles, mainly because I had bought several bottles any time I was purchasing from a stocklist or PPU/LBOH, even if it was a couple bottles.
Thanks for looking!
