It was kind of hard to get into some of the holiday themed mani's when they aren't in season and I found the Love and Heartbreak challenge a bit of a challenge. I don't typically do lovey dovey type of mani's except around Valentine's Day...but I guess that's why it's called a challenge! Here's what I came up with...not overboard by all means, but enough hearts that I hope I hit the theme!
Started with a base of two coats of Ruby Wing Mystic. I had bought a few of these these colour changing polishes a while now but this was the first time I've tried them out so was interested to see how much they would change.
Decided to do a glitter gradient so added NYX Dark Red glitter.
Topped with p2 Glamorous Finish Holo Topcoat.
While I didn't mind this, it wasn't giving me the glitter factor I was going for, so added a little CrowsToes Morticia at tips. This wasn't exactly what I was looking for either but at least added a little bit more interest.
Stamped using white Konad special polish using Big SdP W.
Topped with SV.
The next morning was a bright, sunny day so was able to see the colour change...wowzers!! I was pretty impressed!
I find polishes like this pretty fascinating. I think I bought three of these colour changing polishes but for sure, want to pick up a few more. I also want to try some thermal polishes; hopefully soon!
Here's the other ladies Love and Heartbreak mani's!
