Oopsie Daisies Soldier of Fashion

This is Oopsie Daisies Soldier of Fashion, another polish from the talented Cathryn, creator of Oopsie Daisies nail polish, that fell into my shopping cart (along with a few other pretties) when I was over there getting her Etsy shop link for my last post featuring her polish, Ganache

Gorgeous, isn't it?

Started with a base New York Summer Hot Sky Blue on thumb, middle and pinky, three coats, and Revlon Surf, one coat; this pix has no top coat on any of the base polishes.

While I fully intended to only do a thin coat of Oopsie Daisies Soldier of Fashion so that the skittle base difference would be obvious for comparison, unfortunately,  I'm not a fan of VNL on me and it was still obvious with one coat of Soldier of Fashion when placed over Hot Sky.  So decided to do two coats of Soldier of Fashion on all nails.  Because of this, I didn't get any real variation of the base applications.  Which turned out OK as the end result is stunning, it's just some may wonder why I did skittles in the pix above but the end result was that all the nails are pretty much the same!

A couple bottle shots of Oopsie Daisies Soldier of Fashion.

The super cute cutouts on the label!

Stamped with BM 301 using China Glaze L8R G8R.

Topped with SV.

I included another pix because I have a hard time just picking one!

I never did get a really *G8* pix of the holo stamping; the pix below is about the best I could get with my lighting, which is a bit more visible if you click on the pix.

I've been a follower of Cathryn's blog, hot.pink.aurora, for a while now, so when I was viewing my blogger updates last night, I seen she's having a giveaway of Oopsie Daisies Halloween Harvest Duo.  (I may or may not have had these two stumble into my shopping cart too when I was over at her Etsy shop getting the link just now too!)

Oopsie Daisies nail polish is available via Etsy, and retail for $8 for 15 ml.  I can also attest from my order in August of Soldier of Fashion and a few others that Oopsie Daisies will ship international, which I've found a stumbling block on some of the indy nail polishes I've wanted to order, but couldn't, as there isn't an international shipping option.

Last but not least, a few blog-keeping issues!  I've been remiss in finalizing my last giveaway simply due to time restrictions from family, work and life in general so I do apologize for not being a prompt blogger and concluding it sooner.  I will attempt to remedy this in the next week or so because I've been acquiring indy nail polishes (my new polish love!!) to do a polish giveaway featuring them. I've also decided due to the number of followers who come and go that I'm going to do a series of random giveaways, maybe spur of the moment, nothing announced for those who follow my blog for the sake of wanting to follow it versus those who follow for the giveaway, then fall off when they aren't a winner.  This may be a one day only chance to enter a giveaway, or perhaps open to those only who commented on a particular post....will simply be random. I may not even announce it as a giveaway, just smack it on ya when I announce a winner!  Just my thanks to those who check out my blog on a regular basis!  I was thrilled to see a few weeks ago that Susie over at Susie's Home and Hobbies, who I happen to know was my very first follower, still checks out my blog and comments.  Or KarenD over at Frazzle and Aniploish who takes the time to comment on almost every post I do.  (Speaking of which, KarenD, I picked up a bottle of Precision Twilight for you as I know its one of your lemmings and it was finally in stock at the local nail supply place...are we ready for a swap soon? lol!)

I've also decided that some time in the fall or early winter, I'm going to lighten my stash and have a blog sale.  I have many backups of lots of polishes, including lots of HTF's, that I've finally come to the conclusion that I simply do not need as I don't think I'll ever use one full bottle, never mind a back up of something.  I also need to pare down my stash to make room for so many indies I've been picking up lately. :)  So this will be announced in due course too. There's a good possibility that some of my random giveaways will be me attempting to satisfy some lemmings of followers...which will help us both out!

I have thoughts to start a new feature here and part of it involves highlighting other bloggers (which I know happens already via guest blog postings etc! but I'm going to put a different twist on it!) so if you'd like to be featured on my blog, please contact me.  This will be a worldwide feature so I'd love to hear from you if you are from any country...worldwide! Fellow Canadian's too!  You do not need to do a mani featuring nail stamping even though that's what I mainly do...and will be doing as part of our joint post.  So if you'd like to do a joint post to be featured here, please contact me!  And I guess if no one contacts me, I'll be putting out some feelers to my fellow bloggers! lol! *Begging that at least someone contacts me to get it started!!*

Now, least (because I already typed last but not...!), I have received at least five new plates series in the last week and I know a lot of people are anxious to see some mani's with them.  Some I've done, some I still have to do, but they will start popping up soon.  Never has it been a better time to be a stamper if you're just getting into stamping!  So many plate options by so many talented indy plate makers!

And because I'm in a rambling mood, and to say thanks to everyone who happen to read this far, I'm placing an order of the new Dash plates as they just arrived at Dashica today.  I'm going to do an impromptu giveaway right now for anyone who comments on this post only over the next 48 hours and the prize will be your choice of 3 of the new Dash plates (these are the new small rectangular plates)...I'll add your choices to my order; and will ship to you when I've received them from Dashica.  I'll cut off the entries 48 hours from the time I publish this post.  You can see the plate preview here and just note in your comments your GFC follower name and what 3 Dash plates you'd like.  Open internationally, see Giveaway Policy for any further details.  This giveaway is sponsered by me! And I promise I'll pick a winner sooner than 3 months like my last giveaway!  I will not be advertising this impromptu giveaway any place but here and there's no need to announce it on your blog, or on facebook, or start following me on pinterest or any other forum as there's no extra entries to be obtained, just one comment will be permitted for an entry.  This is simply a thank you for those that regularly take the time to check out my blog!  I do appreciate it!

Thanks for looking!

  9. Although I usually don't comment most of the time.. I do read your posts.. I enjoy them. I really do! And same here! I've also been buying lots of indie polishes . The first ones I bought were from pretty and polished.. After that I went crazy and bought more indie polishes from other sellers. I think they're much more fun because of all the crazy combo people come up with. Still planning to get mr bubble from lush lacquer.. Although summer is already done. LOL I'll get it eventually :p

Oopsie daisies polishes are pretty cool too. Especially soldier of fashion and banana split :)

    Would to try 8,12,20 :)
