JORD Watch Review

I have something a little different on the blog today!  I received a watch for review from JORD Wood Watches**; this isn't the typical type of review I do as I only blog about nail related items....in fact, I declined the review invite (twice!) before agreeing as I couldn't see how I could make it nail related. But after I seen a few other nail bloggers do reviews and incorporate their mani's into the review, I thought I could make it nail appropriate too!  Here's what I came up with!

The kind folks at JORD allowed me to pick from several designs;  the watch I chose to review was JORD Ely Series in Maple.  I thought that this watch would be the most versitle for my lifestyle and the maple finish would compliment the colours that I tend to wear...but in hindsight, I think it's a neutral tone that would compliment any colour in your wardrobe!

The Ely series of watches have have a small faced designed; suitable for everyday wear....I've worn this to the office several times and received many compliments....everyone always asks where I got it from as they have never seen a wooden watch before!  Here's the specs as outlined on their website:

Hardened, Scratch-proof glass face: 26mm diameter
Frame / bezel: 34mm diameter
Band width: 21.5mm
Lug ends: 40mm
Single action locking clasp (stainless steel)
Premium Citizen Miyota movement with date window

I was surprised how lightweight the watch is considering it is hand crafted from wood!

The Ely Series of watches have the date on them; you can see that I took the pix for these post on August 11th....in the early hours of the morn!

JORD watches are individually hand crafted; they are splash proof but not are not intented to be submerged in water.  The workmanship on this watch is superb; it is truly the most unique watch that I own!

JORD Wood Watches are available in an assortment of colours and styles; there are designs for both men and women in an assortment of wood finishes.

To make the post polish appropriate, I did Alice in Wonderland type of nails as I kept on thinking of the White Rabbit saying "I'm Late, I'm Late"....and you wouldn't be late if you had a JORD watch!

Started with a base of two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.  Using black and red Konad speical polishes, stamped on the images using BFF 12 on all fingers except the middle which is MJ II.

One final look!

Thanks for looking!
