LeadLight Flowers

Doing leadlight designs has quickly become one of my favourite styles of stamping.  I've done a few now but haven't gotten around to sharing them....and want to do more but I find they are a little bit more time consuming then just a base and quick stamping so haven't done nearly as many as I want.  I have gone through my plate stash and set aside designs for when time does permit...and have pre-ordered a bunch new Infinity plates that I also think will be awesome for this style.  Anyway, here's a design I came up with not too long ago!

Started with a base of two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls (no pix).  Stamped using black FUN stamping polish using Big SdP J. (A very similar if not exact image is also on Infinity 42).

When I was browsing Shoppers Drug Mart one day, I discovered some very sheer Quo by Orly polishes that were very sheer but had glitter....so have the added bonus of being able to use them for this technique but have glitter!  Fantastic!  You don't know how excited I was when this was discovered! I used an assortment of polishes for this; some are in the first pix below and others as it progressed:  Quo by Orly Mega Canary, Mega Red, Mega Fuchsia, Mega Orange, Zoya Paloma, Zoya Ivanka and Zoya Gilda.

Filled in with more polishes.

Top coated with SV to finish.

If you don't have access to the Quo by Orly polishes, there's a good likelihood that Orly has these same shades but named differently as I have found this frequently with Quo by Orly and Orly polishes.

When I was checking my polish stash over the weekend to see what other polishes I might already have that could be used, I came across the Revlon Scented Fizz polishes that are very sheer and have glitter too.  I believe they will work well for this technique too!

Thanks for looking!
