I did a fluid art base using Orly Dazzle, OPi Suzi-San Climbs Fiji-San and OPI My Paprika is Hotter Than Yours, then topped it with KBShimmer Clearly on Top. I already shared the base of these nails here if you're interested in them without stamping. Stamped using images from Infinity 61 using FunkyFingers Gesso. Topped with a final coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top.
I thought that the base and the shimmer from the Orly Dazzle may show up a little better with matte top coat, plus I received my Glisten & Glow order and wanted to give their matte a whirl, so topped with a coat of Glisten & Glow Matte Top Coat. I had ordered this because I had read somewhere that it can be used for stamping to make the image matte; I haven't done that yet but will be soon!
Thank for looking!
P.S. I do not wear bikini's the the beach; however, I have a lot of tankinis and separate bottoms so that counts for the image, right??
Your vacations sound just like mine...also minus the bikinis!
ReplyDeleteHey! Just bumped into your blog and I loved it - all those designs seems to be my taste - you can appreciate one more follower of you :) You did mention Orly & Opi brands during the fluid art base, do you mean nail polishes either OPI gel colors ? It seems to me that base coat could be done by gel in a way to make it stronger and prevent chips and applying lacquer coat on the top of it to make cute design. What do you think of such combination? Is that actually an option? As usually I stick to gel nails, though I'm keen on smooth designs, so struggling for the right alternative :) Perhaps, you can advice anything more? Will be very thankful for any alternatives :)
ReplyDeleteHi and thanks for checking out my blog! I rarely use gel polishes and if I do, I use polish ones that need the top coat and no curing and use them just like regular polishes. I change my polish/nail art 4-7 days a week so don't usually worry about how long a polish/design stays on my nails which is why I don't use gel much, sorry.
